   Not just Nissan, but if you recall Suzuki was doing well here along with Isusu, when they pulled out..

      Of course some domestics didn't fare to well either... consider the Pontiac Aztec (somebody's bad dream)...or all Pontiacs and Oldsmobiles, for that matter.

   Then there was Plymouth and DeSoto..

The Nissan Frontiers are nice. Toyota burned me twice on a new land cruiser. Less than 1000 miles on it and the engine started to burn oil. New engine, but some idiot forgot to torque the rods down correctly and it threw a rod just 50 miles later. I got rid of the POS. I had an old high milage Datsun 510, it ran great no problems. Me and my buddies as kids made a rabbit hunting car out of it. The 510 had a fully independent rear suspension on it. I finally ended up buying a CJ7. Those were good jeeps so was the CJ5. Land cruiser, we called them wallet bruisers. That was in 1976.
