  We should keep in mind, some folks, possibly Di Placido...may simply be overcome with Peterson's intellect,
  pure envy can bring about some totally irrational statements.

   I suspect it to be just another "post modernist"..just the type of people who have ushered us into the insanity the US and the world faces today..

its why we have over a 100 different Christian faiths and new ones popping up about daily. Just takes some arrogant man who thinks he knows more then you do or is trying to make a buck off of it. Anymore anyone with a computer can pretend to be a bible expert. Just a web search on any argument gives you bible quotes to back about any view you want to believe. My view (and it might be wrong) is that God gave us the bible to use as a tool to be a better Christian. Not a book to split up Christians or to be used to win arguments or make yourself into a self-proclaimed bible scholar. World would be a much better if everyone used it to better themselves and quit trying to push there agenda onto others.
 I dont recall Jesus ever saying there would be a bible someday and it should be used to show me im wrong. Seeing that he was the SON OF GOD id think he would have been privy to that information and passed that info down. It would have stopped cold any doubts in the mind of man about the most argued thing in christianity, the bible.. Im sure a perfect God which he is would have gave it to us in plain language that didnt leave room for mortal men to try to tell me there opinion what GOD iS THINKING. He wouldnt have had to tell stories or parables left open to interpret. He could have just done "here it is. My way or the highway" As it is it can be the greatest book ever wrote or an open invitation to sin by someone who wants some money or a spot on TV. Now go ahead and bash away. An interjection: I am assuming that by “enemy” you mean Christianity. If so, that is not correct. Atheism is simply the lack of belief in the existence of God, all gods, any gods. It is possible that some Christians perceive atheism as “the enemy” but that is another kettle of fish.

     Are we conflating "agnostic" with "atheism" ?  As I understand the terms, in your context, agnostic may have been a preferable term..  when a common term is  prefixed with an "a", that usually indicates "anti",  or against that term  e.g... amillennialism...meaning one rejects the doctrine of a millennial age .

  S, we each have seen or been involved in discussions with self-described atheists, who are determined to crush any belief in God..for anyone within their intellectual reach.  Dawkins, Harris
  or Christopher Hitchens for example.

   Hitchens fought God while he lived and the other two still are doing so...that strikes me as persistent

  I also feel moved to speak against false teachers..for the sake of the many who have died for that faith..and are still dying buy the millions..
