BREAKING: ATF’s Gun Registry Exposed
« on: January 31, 2022, 06:34:50 PM »
Nearly 1,000,000,000 records in ATF’s Database

ATF Has Nearly 1 BILLION Records in a Registry

Click on the Take Action button and demand Congress hold ATF accountable and DELETE this gun registry IMMEDIATELY!

Schumer Proposes to Reward ATF for Breaking Registry Prohibition

Dear William,

Today, GOA needs you to take action to stop ATF from continuing to build out a national gun registry.

GOA’s Prior Investigation into ATF’s Registry

Back in November of 2021, GOA uncovered internal documents showing that ATF had processed over 54 MILLION firearm transaction records (Form 4473s) into a national database in just the last year.

You can watch Antonia’s interview with Tucker Carlson here, on GOA’s YouTube Channel.

The news rightfully shocked the nation—and GOA’s Antonia Okafor even went on Tucker Carlson’s show to discuss it.

These firearm transaction records contain all sorts of personal information about the gun owner (like even their place of birth) as well as information about the guns including their serial numbers.

But, if you think that 54,000,000+ gun and gun owner records in a national database run by ATF is bad, wait ’til you hear this.

ATF’s Billion Record Gun Registry REVEALED

After our story broke, Gun Owners of America worked with Representative Michael Cloud (TX-27) to launch an investigation into the ATF leak.

Representative Cloud led 51 other pro-gun members of Congress demanded accountability from ATF, asking: How many records does the ATF’s Out-of-Business Records Center (OOB) have in total?

Unable to hide the truth any longer, ATF was forced to respond:
In total, ATF manages 920,664,765 OBR as of November 2021. This includes digital and an estimated number of hard copy records that are awaiting image conversion. It is currently estimated that 865,787,086 of those records are in digitalized format.

This is shocking.

This is outrageous.

This violates the prohibition on a national gun registry in existing law.

This is unconstitutional.

Gun Owners of America WILL NOT STAND for it.

Watch GOA’s report on ATF’s one billion record gun registry in the latest episode of the Minuteman Moment!

That’s why we need you to take action IMMEDIATELY!

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives has NO BUSINESS maintaining a gun registry with NEARLY ONE BILLION RECORDS of Americans’ guns and their purchasers.

Deleting this gun registry and making sure the laws prohibiting ATF from creating a registry of guns or gun owners are enforced is now one of GOA’s top priorities.
Biden is Expanding this Registry

Make no mistake—this is clear evidence that a partial national gun registry exists.
And if that isn’t bad enough, the Biden Administration wants to expand and complete the registry.

Back in June, GOA pointed out that hidden in the Biden Administration’s Proposed Definition of ‘Frame or Receiver’ and Identification of Firearms was a little-noticed provision relating to Out-of-Business FFLs.

Essentially, Biden is proposing that FFLs maintain Form 4473 records FOREVER, instead of only maintaining records for the last 20 years.

Eventually, this means 100% of Form 4473s will end up in this ATF registry.
Remember, ATF compiled nearly 1,000,000,000 records by requiring only the last 20 years.

If the American people don't stand up for their rights now, Biden's anti-gun ATF will be able to track gun owners, infringe on our rights, and potentially even confiscate our firearms.

Democrats Want to Reward ATF by Doubling its Budget
Just this past Sunday, Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer proposed to reward ATF’s bad behavior.

Sen. Schumer proposed increasing ATF’s Budget by $1.5 billion—more than DOUBLE its current budget of $1.4 billion.

How dare an agency responsible for infringing on the constitutionally protected rights of the people be rewarded for such behavior!

Congress should not appropriate a DIME for this agency—and certainly not while it is actively maintaining a gun registry in violation of federal law.

Reportedly, this is on Sen. Schumer’s “front burner” and he plans to secure the funding as early as this week, so it is of the utmost importance that you take action immediately.

What can you do about it?

This billion-record gun registry must be dismantled.

It’s going to take time and effort—not only from GOA’s team in Washington D.C. but also from our grassroots members like you.

Today, we need you to take action—email your Congressman and Senators and demand they stop this madness right now.

But don’t stop there!

We need you to spread the message in your local community.

To help us get the message out you can:
•   forward this email to your gun owning friends and family
•   share the action link from our website
•   share the latest episode of the Minuteman Moment on our YouTube channel
•   share any of our posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Reddit

This message isn’t just for you—it concerns gun owners nationwide.
Your friends, your family, and some or all of their firearms may already be in this national registry!

Then, we need everyone to call Congress and demand this registry be deleted.
You can call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and an operator will connect you to your elected representatives.

Big government has the advantage over gun owners as individuals, but together we can beat the ATF and delete this registry!

With the collective voice of all gun owners demanding these records be permanently purged from ATF’s database, your elected representatives will have to take a stand.
If you do your part, we’ll do ours.

GOA has already drafted model legislation to delete this gun registry.

Keep up the pressure, and our team of dedicated lobbyists will do everything in our power to force Congress to vote and undo this madness.

Aidan Johnston

i wouldnt doubt these records are used. My wife flew to CA to see her son this summer and out of the whole plane only she was pulled off to the side and had her baggage searched. Id about bet it was because of the 6 inch thick records of my gun purchases and the fact a few are in her name. Why else would they pull a 55 year old women aside over everyone else on that flight.

Doubt it had to do with your gun purchases.  Same thing happened to my 13 y/o daughter when we went to Disney almost 20 years ago.  The kicker is this:  she got redflagged at the airport BOTH ways.  Yep, 13 y/o blonde girl on flight down AND return flight.  Last time I've flown.

You betcha!  If you bought anything using a credit or debit card there's a record . And these reward cards have a database  of your purchases . Cell phones know where you are 24/7 .   The Government knows more about you than you do .

Welcome to the horrors of the surveillance state.... I've heard horror stories of CCW permit holders being pulled over in more draconian state's and vehicles searched because the permit came up when a cop ran out of state plates. I've no experience with it, but don't doubt it.

And this is a surprise because?
One of my late friends said he returned a defective hand gun (in Washington State) and about ten years later a cop showed up at his door because the cop's brother had been killed by that gun. Was a little tense until it was established that the store hadn't processed the paperwork when they resold it.

I doubt it, I fly almost weekly and every once in awhile I get the extra security, it is just normal.

Come on, the ATF is a government agency. Did anyone actually expect them to follow the rules? I said long ago that they were keeping them and sure enough they have been.

Tucker talks about this issue, and says the democrats just want to disarm those that didn't vote for them, which is exactly right.  The criminals running around killing people, and committing crime with firearms are allowed to do so.
