Running a temperature today..

   Running a temp today ..don't know if it  is from , my cracked ribs or if I have the bug.  Ireally don't feel too bad..but my thermometer says different.
   I usually run a temp between  96.5 and 97.5, but today i seem to be hitting anywhere between 99 and 103, if my old thermometer isn't lying to me..

My temp is usually 95.7 to 96.7 and still is.

Chicken Soup, lots of it.

I also take NyQuil or generic items similar to it, severe Cold and Flu products. Partly because it does more for allergy sinus misery than supposed sinus products.
I take it at night and sleep well.

I'm no doctor but if your temp reached 103, and you are not feeling that bad. I would have to guess a faulty thermometer. If you have a fever that high, you would know it.

Yep, 103 is sick. My great grandson was running that this weekend and his parents couldn't get it down so they took him to the doctor and he has  swine flu of all things. He's been a pretty sick little kid.

fi thought i might be getting it the other day. Had sinus draining and pain like a sinus infection was starting but woke up the next day just fine. Hope your luck is as good as mine. But a 103 temp is nothing to take lightly.

Being old and slow I didn't know about the cracked ribs. Have wreck, fall, get in a fight? What ever, take it easy for awhile.

   I slipped on the ice, and fell onto my left side, driving my arm to the elbow, into my ribs.  Thankfully, since my driveway is a couple feet higher than the level of the house, I have built a 12' ramp across the gap.  Then of course, I built a decorative hand rail..vines, leaves etc., so I was able right myself and get back up.

  I am beginning to doubt any Covid, since all I have so far, is the fever..and a little cough.  None of the loss of smell or taste..   I first took my temp, because I could feel 'hot breath' as I exhaled..  However, I will take the advice of DDZ, and get a new battery for the temp stick..and see if that does anything..if not, perhaps a new temp stick..this one is maybe 10 years old.

Get the old fashioned ones that do not need batteries; a month or so ago there was an article, I just read headline, that spoke of the inaccuracy of some digital ones.

As far as the subject coming up about thermometer's, being brought up. The indoor, outdoor weather thermometers using an analog spring dial or the mercury ones work much better than the digital ones do. I tried a digital and it was off by 20 degrees. So i took another one i had in the house outside and it was off by 15 degrees.

My SIL and BIL very recently recovered from covid-19. And yes, both tested positive by their doctor, and both got very sick.
SIL lost smell, and taste. BIL did not. Both had sinus drainage, one ran fever, the other a sore throat.

   I wanted to check out my thermometer, to see if it was lying to me, so I bought one of those new ones that you press to your temple. I'm still elevated (99.5 to 100.5)  but I show none of the popular covid symptoms, I don't feel ill at all and have lost no taste or smell.  I do a bit of throat clearing now and then..so I am counting it as something to do with the cracked ribs..

Had some kind of a flu something
for the last couple of weeks.
No covid symptoms though.
Classic flu like stuff
102-103 for a day, chills, fatigue,
Don't GAS attitude. Went at least
2 days without a meal, not sure.
Crappy sleep and wild dreams.
All but gone now. Dribbly nose
and minor cough from that.

Definitely none of the death's
door covid symptoms
