And busy hawking trinkets such as vials of
Jordan river water and annointing oil
and prayer cloths and crucifixes made from
wood from the holy land and dirt from
Jerusalem and rocks from Israel and
many other doo dads and trinkets that
I can't immediately recall that are "given
away " when you send your "love gift "
or "seed money "
God doesn't reside in a trinket, and
buying one or pouring a potion on
your head won't get you there
^^^THAT^^^ happens ...But it is only among a very small fraction...mostly hucksters. If the only "church" one experiences, is on TV, he may gather the idea that this is a common thread.
He may not see the everyday pastor, who goes about his church business daily, preparing messages,
"comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable"
. Most of these not collecting any great wages..and some not collecting any wages at all.
For the many thousands involved in such work..let's not judge by a slick few, whose motive are in doubt.
..To be fair, as an honest hunter, I think none of us want to be judged by people who only notice and
comment upon, the rare "slob hunter' !
