Last night it was a glass of cornbread and sweet milk. It's been quite awhile since we had that but it was just as good as I remembered.

Fried Tyson roasting chicken baked in the oven in heavy cream and sour cream.

It has been a long time since I fried a roaster and had forgotting they do cut up as easily as a fryer; joints are tougher to separate.

I haven't bought a whole chicken
in years. They're way too expensive
for some crazy reason. There's
legions of chicken farms east of
here and several big processors,
so you'd think they'd be cheap 
I can buy 10 pounds of leg quarters
for about 1/2 or less than a whole
chicken costs

Probably cook some chicken in
the spirit of juneteenth.  Need
to hit the store and get some
red drank to wash it down

Tiled the floor in the appartment out back yesteday and had to run to town to get some grout for today so it was burger king yesterday. Dee would be proud because i had a texas whopper. Not a bad burger.

"Red drank " is the generic term used by the
regional blacks for fruit punch, cherry, etc.
Mainly for cold drinks, or "sewdah wallahs"
All except for "skrawberry"

Mescan hot dog last night. Hot link with a little mustard wrapped in a flour tortilla. Used an Earl Campbell hot link but should have gone on and got Allsup's, the ultimate in hot links.

Nothing special
Baloney and cheese w/ mustard
on light bread. A some pickles
on the side.  Got a late start.
Trying to fix a ruined lawnmower
tire.  I think it would probably be
easier to change a truck tire
( which I've done) tire irons and
8 inch mower wheels don't work
well together. Couldn't get the
beads seated and had to quit
for the day. No energy left
