Looks like a Werner fiberglass that has been out in the sun a lot. because its red color id faded. The red Werners have a 300Lb weight limit.

Sunlight degrades fiber glass. I wonder how much strength this one has lost.

2" fiberglass flowlines were a big thing in the oilfield many years ago because they didn't corrode and leak like steel pipe. It took quite a few years here but this hot southwestern sunlight did away with fiberglass flow lines as they began to ooze oil and had to be replaced by, of all things, steel lines.

Same problem with fiberglass tanks if you didn't keep them painted to protect the fiberglass from UV.

Yep thats right. In the industry I worked in, once a fiberglass ladder became faded from uv rays it had to be tossed. Got kind of expensive when throwing out 32 and 40 foot ladders.
