The confusion many well meaning Christians share..
« on: February 21, 2022, 01:01:32 PM »
Thi sweet young ladyis full of Christian love..which is good..

..But she doesn't want to deal with God's justice part.  To bask in our Savior's love, and not share the good news with others, is a selfish act..although I am quite sure she doesn't see it that way.

Once we receive the gift of salvation..it is ur duty to share it !  (5+ min video)

go knock on doors and preach. Preach to your church, go discuss the bible on religion fourms, march in pro life rallys. Just think of the people you could bring to God with the time you waste on here quoting scripture and trying to convince us you understand it better then the rest of us. Nobody on here cares about my interpretation of scripture or yours either. Your yearning for recognition on your bible knowlege pretty much falls under the sin of pride and ego. I like you and think your a good person but this gets old. Its gotten worse lately. You want to turn every post into a religion post so you can try to impress us with your bible knowledge. Give it a rest

Lloyd; did you view the video?  If so you would have noted that it had nothing . nada, zilch to do with myself,  ! That speaker is a well known street evangelist, named Ray Comfort, preaching in the same manner as Jesus and his apostles did.
..But in any case, you seem to have missed some quite salient points...

 1. Was the speaker exercising his 1st amendment rights?

 2. Was the speaker there voluntarily?

 3. Was the crowd there voluntarily?

 4 Were they listening voluntarily?

5 Was anyone holding anybody against their will ?

 6. Was it a 2-way conversation?

 7. Did the speaker allow..and even invite people to speak?

 8. Did the young lady take the opportunity to address/question the speaker?

 9. Was a rather large crowd gathered..and did they voluntarily linger?

We are encouraged as Christians, to share the "good news" (Matt 28:19), which is exactly what Ray was doing.  So, some don't feel moved to do that..OK..that's their choice..

When you addressed the situation, you suggested that he confine himself to inside the church or some other venue which is not open to the public.

..Pardon me, but now you sound like many now filling the ranks of the Democrat party and th evarious anti-Christian folks..whoever they be..

..Besides, isn't that what various crowds tried to tell Jesus and His apostles, whenever they started preaching in the agora?

Street preaching is the very birthplace of Christianity..Jesus had no cathedrals to preach from..those being edifices built by man in much later years.

Jesus didn't even have a home..a place to lay his head..
" And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head."
 (Luke 9:58)

Surely Lloyd, I know you don't want to join the ranks of the atheists and scoffers !

Stephen, an early Christian and deacon of the church in Jerusalem, was publicly preaching and evangelizing in the year 36AD.
  The Sanhedrin did not appreciate what he was preaching, so here is how they acted, just before they murdered him;

"When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth. But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!” Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord" (Acta 7:54-570

BTW: where it says... "they ran at him with one accord".. That doesn't mean they tried to run him over with a Honda.. ;)  ;D
