Why Russia is having its soldiers killed taking Chernobyl makes no sense but it looks like Russia is going to give it self a road that supposed to cut the Ukraine in half.
All the babbling about Russia is going to invade Poland is politicians try to cover their asininity.
As on gent said yesterday, the U.S. goig into Croatia is, what goes around,  comes around.

I said in other posts Russia was in Syria to test its weapons to see if the worked, they did ,and now Russia is showing the West it can strike remotely just like the West can.
All the babbling on Fox about Russia taking the whole country is stupidity from Russian paranoia that the swamp has spewed to avoid having how China owns this country from being in the news.

As Trump has said, Putin is playing and showing the fool that was elected president here, for what he is.
China owns our poli. What works here? Politician’s just does not cut it for me. How about traitor’s? They. The xi ping pussies do not own America. They are just renting our jackass traitors.

New Mexico don' need no steekin' help.  ;D The fat little troll in Santa Fe says everything is hunky-dory with our border. NO problem at all. The TV stations dropped coverage of what is going on along the border months ago. Not a peep about conditions there.

Can we vote her out in November ?

I'm not betting on it. Her and her minions have just bought a bunch of votes by giving school teachers up to a $10,000 a year raise plus all state employees got a hefty chunk added to their paychecks. I also hear rumblings of many democrats switching over to the Republican party but that may be just hopes and wishes when all is said and done. Wait and see is all we can do. Since 1986 when the constitution was changed to allow two terms I think all governors have managed to make two.

Time to question Washington’s approach to Russia

The tragic events under way in Ukraine should reinvigorate the discussion on the wisdom of Western and specifically American policies regarding Russia and the remainder of the former USSR in the last 30 years.

How wise was it to expand NATO and the EU towards Russia’s borders, isolating Russia from its closest neighbours and breaking the natural flow of post-Soviet societies with hard borders and trade barriers? The policy was aimed at preventing a new aggressive monster state, the USSR 2.0, from rising from the ruins of the Soviet Union. But isn’t this exactly what is happening now? Wouldn’t it have been much wiser to prioritise integrating Russia – a huge nuclear power – into the West when the country was ripe and ready for it, rather than brushing it off as a largely irrelevant declining power?

Various Russian officials warned the West back in the 1990s that the efforts to isolate and sideline Russia would result in the rise of nationalist and autocratic forces in the country. Indeed Putin himself recalled in one of his latest speeches how he once asked President Bill Clinton whether Russia could also join NATO, but did not get an answer.

Back in 2000, when he was first elected in the still democratic elections, Putin was seen as a liberal and tacitly supported by the West against his more conservative rivals. A man without real political principles, just hungry for power, Putin could have become a perfect eurocrat. Hasn’t the West, with its perpetual fear of Russia, grown its own Frankenstein?

Even now, at the point of collision, the West does not have a vision for a post-Putin Russia which could motivate Russians to change the political regime in their country. Indeed, for many in the hawkish circles, an aggressive and isolated Russia is a milking cow that secures their salaries and lucrative contracts.

Russian society is responsible for Ukraine’s current tragedy and for allowing Putin to usurp power. But this war, with its many dire consequences that will emerge in the coming days and weeks, is in itself a punishment for Russians. Now all efforts should focus on finding a way to build a united Europe, with a democratic, post-Putinist Russia as an integral part.

So. Why. Do I. Have to pay 3 times the amount for goods and services rendered due to what happens in the Ukraine? Also. Why? Are Ukraine’s borders even a little more important than mine in the U.S.A.?

Very low morale say reports of Russian ground troops. Those captured were not ginned up to kill Ukrainians.

Putin has different political environmental then Crimea in 2014. Half of Russia is against invading Ukraine.

Baltic states have reason for concern. One of Putin’s demands was for them to leave NATO and disarm. Presumably, Putin will provide “security” for the Baltic region.

Germany a disgrace in all of this. Ex Chancellor working for Gazprom and that about tells it all.

Me too. Wish they mobilized sooner.

Different front. Team Blue went a bridge too far. Independent, hispanic, black and suburban troops deserting for Team Red. Offensive this Nov.

Blue team close to panic.  Urban shock troops unable to join battle outside their districts. May use unconventional tactics.

True that. But often their plans don’t work and they have a few pesky problems maintaining power past Nov.

Midterms. Congressional races have less opportunity to cheat as the urban areas don’t get to skew other districts. Statewide races different.

We are really liking our new VA Gov. Here to tell yah. Don’t give up on voting.

So. Why. Do I. Have to pay 3 times the amount for goods and services rendered due to what happens in the Ukraine? Also. Why? Are Ukraine’s borders even a little more important than mine in the U.S.A.?

Because Biden stopped the pipeline from Canada, he stopped drilling on government land, he restricted drilling offshore.  We went from being energy independent and selling natural gas to Europe, to being an importer of oil.  That is no. 1.  This resulted in Russia and the Arabs being able to raise their prices to the highest levels in years.  We now import more expensive oil, thus making goods from oil based plastics, plastic food packages, transportation of good and services will be higher.  Ukraine has oil and gas they were selling to Western Europe, now they will not be able too.  Europe will have to buy from the Arabs to avoid Russia and Ukraine.  We will have to also buy from the Arabs.

This is all on Joe Biden and the Democrats.

How to hurt Russia as well as the Arabs.  Build pipelines in America, buy the Canadian oil, start back to drilling, fracking, and off shore drilling. Become energy independent again.  The worlds oil prices will collapse, and Russia and the Arabs won't make as much money, and can't afford expensive militaries.

We can still at the same time be building more windmills and solar farms to get off natural gas and fuel oil for power production.  We can still go to electric vehicles.  But not all of this is going to happen overnight like the Democrats think, not with 200 million cars and trucks using gasoline and diesel in America.  They will be on the road for the next 20 or more years.  My last car I was 20 years old when I got rid of it.  Gasoline vehicles and diesel trucks are still being sold.  You can't force change overnight.

Windmills are now cheaper to build and operate for 25 years than natural gas.  Solar is not far behind.  But it takes time to build these things out.  In the meantime you have to have gas and oil to keep going.

my guess is russia knows the ukrain has no nukes and worried that in a last ditch effort theyd blow the containment buildings there to kill russian troops with what would be for lack of better words a dirty bomb. Kind of a suicide pact.

i hope if one falls here it falls right on my (censored word) head!!! we no longer have miltary bases up here that are targets. I think that the closest target would be detroit and no loss there. What id worry about up here is dirty bombs or chemical attacks on the great lakes. Its the largest by far fresh water supply in the country. Ive got a deep well but about all the deep wells here are tied to underground water comming and going to lake superior.
The Russians believed a stash of nuclear weapons were cached at Chernobyl. And it does look like they specifically took out US-DoD bio-labs around Ukraine.

If Joebama, Schwab, Soros and the Globalist can pay, convince, sucker, or threaten Poland, or Turkey, to come to the aid of Ukraine; then NATO Article 5 could be activated, which could ratchet up the conflict to the nuclear level.

Meanwhile, apparently Biden and government hunchos have headed off to the DUMBs _ _ Deep Underground Military Bunkers.

[Remember, if you survive a nuclear blast you have about 20 minutes to find cover from the radioactive fallout. This will dissapate in 3 or 4 days and you might be able to handle 3 to 5 minutes outside. In 2 to 3 weeks the radioactivity should dissapate to levels that life is sustainable. Always remove hot dust from hair, skin and clothes]

Sanctions that take YEARS to effect serious change?  Oil and Gas, the HEART and SOUL of the Russian economy, are NOT on the U.S. sanctions table and IN FACT were specifically exempted?

That's TREASON, to AID AND ABET THE ENEMY.  As Putin continues to sell Russian oil and gas to Europe, fueling his War, Biden makes deals with Germany and sits with tin foil hat on and thumb up his **** in his DUMB.  Who is running THIS COUNTRY?

Tale of two leaders.

2022. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy staying put in Ukraine facing the Russian army, navy and Air Force.

2014. Russian puppet, former Ukrainian President Yanukovych flees to Russia when faced with protests by unarmed citizens.

Chernobal is the shortest distance from the border to Kyiv, the capital city where all the government leaders are.  Also, Ukraine probably had no, or few soldiers there, which was a soft spot to move troops through quickly.

One TV announcer said that most thought the Donbas was where the major incursion would happen, as did the Ukraine government, so now they have to move a large number of their soldiers and equipment to the Kiev region.
