These are very handy with those pockets on the leg. Great for my CCW, or for what ever else like my cell phone.

Absolutely! I used to wear jeans every time, and all the time . A number of years ago I started wearing cargo pants, that had front, back and leg pockets. Preferably zippered pockets on the legs.   When I started buying these wranglers at Walmart they were $20 now $23, which is still a good deal. They are very comfortable, and wear well.  I like the zippered side pockets.

Nope no firearm at all in the side pockets. Not only would one not secure well there. It would be hard to get to. Hardly ever carry a firearm in a pocket. Always with a good belt, and a OWB holster.

I have tried them in the past. Stuff banging around in those pockets annoyed me to no end and I immediately returned to Wrangler slims. You are welcome to my share of cargo pants. I do wear cargo shorts some in the summer but there is nothing but air in the pockets and they are light weight, no denim cargo anything for me.

pretty much wranglers or Carhart's for me when i leave the house and sweat pants when im here. Only gun i pocket carry is occcasionaly a naa 22lr when im walking the dog in the summer. Id rather use an ankle holster then pocket carry anything bigger. But 9 times out of 10 its a iwb holster.

When I first went into the army (1955) the army was still issuing some of those some cargo pants as fatigues.  Apparently they were leftovers from WW2 era issue...and were issued to  to the stout guys,
 most of whom, didn't remain stout for long..

   Those pants had cargo pockets which were at the hip.  I bought a couple pair of the current cargo pants, and found the pockets were so low...I haven't worn them since.  The pockets are so low, that
 they amuse themselves by flip-flopping all over the place. To put my CC in the pocket made it move  like hanging it by a string from my waist
   they must be that way for some "style" reason, because for me, they are more bother than they are worth.
  Original cargo pants that have the pockets located where regular pockets are OK.. but having them at the knee, makes them useles...at least for me.

I used to wear them but for no real reason stopped; now I at times get painter/carpenter jeans.
In clothes you more often than not, get what you paid for.

I buy the carpenter style. Small leg pocket on both sides and a loop for a hammer. In the summer I like the quick dry pants with zip off legs. I try to get them at a discount as they never look new for long.

I finally broke down and went to suspenders about a week ago. I do like cargo pants for retrieving things while driving. Hard to get to jean pockets while sitting with a seat belt on.

   Granted the cargo pants are handy for getting to the pockets...I just have no idea why they place the pockets so low...the bottom of the pocket just about at  my knee. so naturally, when I walk, anything of any weight (like a gun) works like a pendulum.
  Then of course, reaching to your knee for a gun, doesn't see to logical.
   Maybe it is  the brand or maybe they do it for "style", don't know which.

Speaking of suspenders...  Has everybody tried the Perry Suspenders?
  Where Perry suspenders differ, is that they hook to the belt, and do it woiut a wide, double grip.  No puncturing trousers..and ideal for the conservative man..since that method includes both belt and suspenders.  Can't be more conservative than that !   

  I found mine at Walmart, but I have to get a couple new sets, since I've had mine for years and they are about out of any "stretch"..

The Perry suspenders branded Dickies are slightly better than the Perry brand based on the one I have worn.  Have not worn the Dickies while working hard, but the Perrys stretch permanently when they get wet with sweat.  Also, the rear strap is too short for a six footer.  It keeps the front straps below your shoulder blades so that they tend to slip off your shoulders easily as you and twist.  You don't have to worry about the hooks coming off your belt or letting go like snaps do.  Also they are easier to release than buttons if you are in a hurry, as in a sudden bout of diarrhea.

Same hooks.  I ordered from Amazon.  Did not like the light colored leather of the Perry suspenders, the Dickies have dark, almost black leather that connects the shoulder straps to the back.  Seem to remember that the Dickies were a dollar or two cheaper.  Have been wearing my older Perrys to work in and the Dickies as casual/dress wear.  Because of BGNB (Big Gut No B_tt), I have been wearing suspenders for about 10-12 years.

I remember when the Mexican cholos took to wearing those cargo pants. Not me.

I remember  where SWAT unites went from camo fatigues to black. Hotter in the summer,  but sharp looking.

  I have 3 sets of Perrys, 2 black, one biege or tan.  The tan one has light leather, of the black ones, one has light leather, the other very dark leather. ..But they are all stretched out now, and I'll have to do something soon.
