Don't understand at all ( but I really completely do. . )
« on: March 12, 2022, 09:23:13 AM »
So. . .  New group moved into this section 8 a few
days ago.  The concept is supposed to be for
people of very low income and with no assets.
But, this morning the truck from the rental place
drops off and sets up this bounce house and a
good many tables and chairs for a big party, yet
I know that rental places aren't in the charity
business.
What's wrong with this picture  ?

A system that is designed where the tax payers foot the bill. There is no oversight or efficiency at all in that system.  Its the same thing when you see someone paying for groceries with a government access card, then you see them load the groceries into a more expensive car than you are driving or can afford.  For decades now those that do not care to better themselves are rewarded with the fruits of others. While those that try to better themselves get punished by having more of your fruits taken by force.  Don't work, don't own anything, suck off the government tit, and you can afford bouncy houses, chairs and tables for big parties.  that kind of thing has been going on for so long, its just taken for granted, and seen as just how things are. The wrongness of it isn't even questioned anymore.

Exactly
The biggest problem is all the people
that blow it off and say/think-
"Well it doesn't affect me. I don't care
what they do. . . "

It's tax money and paycheck deductions
that we paid in. It's that much LESS
goods and services available to the ones
that paid in anticipating those goods and
services will be there for them when needed.
Infrastructure is drained to zero and if you
actually get to talk with someone at 911
call center, they tell you that an ambulance
will be there ASAP,  when in reality the
ambulance you desperately need for
your sick wife is responding to the fight
that felipe and enrique had because they
shared too much fentanyl laced pot at
the kid's party, and stabbed each other
with the cake cutter.
There's really not any fence available to
sit on without getting a picket up your a$$

OR......... They have family that footed the bill for a bouncy house for a grand baby or maybe an aunt or uncle rented it for a niece or nephew.

This whole world sure has gotten judgmental these days..... and sure do like to jump to conclusions with out all the facts..

Mind you Gooberment handouts are WRONG in my OPINION.

Just because one is poor does not mean they have to live a in rabbit hole with the lid closed.
A child who never enjoys anything will carry that misery into adult hood and act on it in destructive ways to itself and others.

Cheating the government, or those who help low income is wrong and should be punished but assuming that poor who give their children a bit of pleasure are cheating, well, to assume makes an as you and me.

Wow, umm you do understand that NOT A SINGLE CENT of your personal income tax money goes to any of the "welfare" handouts today. That money is appropriated from the selling of treasury  bonds and corporate taxes. Every Single  Dime of your Personal Income Taxes goes just to the interest on the money the government borrowed over 50 years ago. My grandchildrens granchildren will be paying for the absolute insanity we are seeing today not us.

But if you have a problem with low income areas you might want to figure out how to move past it because you and I are about to see so much of it that our heads just may explode.

Not really being judgmental or racist
or any of that at all
I'll be the first one to declare that I'm
far from perfect myself
When I post something like that,
it's so others can see the things they
only see on the biased evening "news"
or read of in their newspaper
People have been criticizing me for
years for speaking out about border
jumpers and career welfare recipients.
I could be like the rest of the complacent
apathetic 21st century people, but I'm
old and was raised old school.
I can't seem to make myself blow it
off and guzzle beer and take dope to
forget the world like many do

I completely agree that those milking the system are a problem, but the system is at fault, it is flawed and will fail sooner than later.
I also agree that if you get all your news form the boob tube or news paper then you are un/mis-informed.

But as a side note I spend around $500 a month just helping people with kids that can't afford to give their kids the things they need. I also pay for everyone behind me at the drive thru who has ordered by the time I get to the window when ever I grab fast food.

I am blessed at the moment and thus I bless as many as I can around me, it's just how I was built.

Kind of you. I would like to be able to do that. I do help some older folks butt. Mostly with labor...

We find this happening often, but is it trhe fault of the poor?  Very often they are poor, because they have poor judgement and make rotten choices.

Yes, their choices may be rotten, but the major problem is corrupt politicians, who hand out freebies to
a very willing mob of recipients.  After all, the crook/politician is only buying votes..with our tax money!

It seems Prof Alexander Tytler is proving to be prescient as time goes on..

Everyone is where they are based on the choices they have already made, if they want to be else where tomorrow they simply need to make different choices today.
