COL climbing..
« on: March 13, 2022, 01:51:14 AM »
Cost of living is truly climbing..especially in trhe grocery store.

I normally but not always, shop at a bare bones store.. (Save-a-Lot) , but sometimes venture into traditional super markets.
Back then, I usually got away with about $27 per week for groceries. but now it is closer to $40..

   Thanks, crooks and Rinos..!

It's Putin's fault. Must be.
.

Sure is, and it started the day after Dumbo took office !

no ig its the fault of the gene mutations created by the vaccine along with little green men transmitting brain control waves. Its absolutely no fault of putin. Hes a good man with christain beliefs that wants to be our friend. He only invaded the Ukraine and killed women and children and threatened nucleolar war to convince everyone to come back to God. He should be put up for sainthood. ::)

I know its tough on people. But i probably think differently then some. My opinion is these high gas and food prices and the cost of everything going up cost me money but its money well spent because i believe in the long run that it will help us. Most of those sniveling yuppy liberals will keep pushing there agenda just like brain dead joe is until it hurts there selvish lifestyle. Then they will be just like rats abandoning a ship. Look at there green global warming bs. They all vote for it but maybe 1 percent actually make sacrifices themselves. What they want is for everyone else to pay for it. They want electric cars but want the government to step in and pay for half of the price. They scream clean energy while they turn up the heat or ac in there home. When it really hurts. When they cant afford there 2000 dollar cell phones and there morning latte they will turn like a rabid dog against this socialist agenda biden is pushing. Will it be a permanent change? Hell no. But it might be just what breaks the camels back and get the power back in the hands of conservatives. I dont see it happening till we make them hurt. Personaly im willing to sacrifice myself to get it.  if i have to pay 8 dollars a gallon for gas to get rid of people like biden harris pelosi shummer shift aoc ect then its money well spent.

I sort of agree Lloyd, but the real problem has been that we have been supporting lower prices by having the government support the production of goods and services. Those were tax dollars (or credits, if you will) which kept prices low. The other two problem areas are bank loans & insurance. The one allows you to buy what you can't afford while the other gets your neighbor to help pay for your mistakes. All adds up to socialism. We is there already folks.

While I think lloyds theory is in the right place,  I believe you can stress an economy to the point of collapse.  Our inflation of the dollar could lead to its collapse. WORLD WIDE.

that is no doubt true dee. I also will add that my opinion could be a bit selfish. I want the liberals OUT and im willing to pay for it but that said not everyone and probably not everyone here is in a position that they can afford it. I will eat either way and i wont be so broke i cant afford even 10 dollar a gallon gas for all we use. Dont get me wrong. I dont relish the fact my heating bill food bill gas bill and electric bill my double. But i do believe these things will be temporary and end when we gets some sanity back in Washington. If i means i cant buy a new truck or a new gun or some other toy then i can live with that. But i do understand its more critical for some. Sad thing is with this administrations the only solution that helps will probably be for the welfare trash. I can see those idiots  giving welfare trash and illegals and criminals coming across our border more. They know they will struggle at election time and are probably meetings daily to find any way possible they can buy votes.

I agree with your thoughts on government supporting low prices. I agree with the insurance crap to because its about forced on us today. but i really dont see banks at fault. Interest rates are low today and anyone that takes out a loan that cant afford to pay it back deserves to have what they bought taken away. theres no cure for stupid. bottom line though is we all have done loans. Most of us wouldnt have had a home without one. We were just talking the other day about the ex girlfriend of one of my nephews. She took out like 200k in student loans and spent half of it on cars clothers and vacations. Now shes stuck with basically a home payment sized bill every month and has the balls to complain about it and will vote for anyone that supports student loan forgiveness. she sure gets no sympathy from me. We pay a student load for the wifes son. Its paid every month and if they did student loan forgiveness the balance would still be paid by us not you!

IMO houses & other things) wouldn't/could not cost as much if you could not borrow the money to buy them.

And more people would build their own house with less tax money supporting a bloated government that has your best interest in mind by regulating everything you do.

even if you look at todays gas prices with an open mind youd see there not that bad. Gas went to a buck a gallon around 1980. At that time as an apprentice lineman i made 6 bucks an hour. Today an apprentice lineman makes 30 bucks an hour so 5 times more. So in fact gas if you factored in cost of living should be about 5 bucks a gallon every day. In fact at 2-3 we were about stealing it.

Seriously Lloyd? From Trump price per gallon, to Biden price per gallon, in less than 2 years?  The highest gas per gallon prices in history?

It's not just about what you're paying to fill your truck. This country runs on desiel, and truckers are paying over $1,000.00 to fill their trucks. EVERYTHING is shipped by truck. EVERYTHING is gonna soon double in price.
