Cause Napalm Sticks to Kids!
« on: March 13, 2022, 05:29:01 AM »
America is fixated, fascinated, angered, and appalled at what is going on in the Ukraine, while they ignore what is going on in their own country.
They whine about high gas prices, groceries going through the roof, but seldom give any acknowledgement of the crime, and suffering on their own border.

It doesn't affect them. Yet!

America is good, and just. Russia is cruel, and bad. Russia picks on smaller, weaker countries. Russia commits "atrocities".

But the United States military did invade South Vietnam, and kill innocent men women, and children. Destroy cities,  burn villages, while justifying all of it. Not to mention getting 52,000 American soldiers killed.
How many Vietnamese did they kill between November1st 1955, and 1975?

How many civilians got killed in Panama when we decided we didn't like the way Manual Noriega was doing things. We trained Noriega at "The School of the Americas" in Ft Benning Ga.

How many cities did the United States military destroy when we decided we didn't like Sadam Hussein (whom by the way was trained by us at "The School of the Americas" Ft Benning Ga) anymore. How many Iraqi innocents did we kill.

Or our other 20 year war in Afghanistan. How many Afghans were killed. Our actual mission was accomplished in a little over a year.

Of course we really shouldn't leave out the Korean war where killed innocent men, women, and children, fighting a country much smaller than our own.

And like every other war since WWII, America got her ass handed to her by little third rate peon countries.  ::)

My point? The United States military, by direction of our government, has been doing the same thing Russia is doing now, since 1952, and everybody in the country, and here is upset about it.

RUSSIAN ATROCITIES INDEED. AND FULLA CRAP, NEAR SIGHTED, SHORT TERM MEMORY LIMITED AMERICANS.::)

These so-called "patriots" made up of former United States military special-ops are recognized as "mercenaries" to the rest of the world, and if captured by the other side, will be dealt with accordingly.

Politicians are a horrible breed of humans. They only care about one thing, and that is not us. The difference between a Russian, Chinese,Ukrainian or American politician is basically Geography. If they changed places, you wouldn't see the difference.

Hard to imagine the pain and suffering in Hiroshima and Nagasaki after dropping A bombs on those “civilian” occupied cities. I was in the peace park museum where they have slabs of sidewalks and buildings with bodies burnt into them on display. Those were the lucky ones. “Ain’t war hell”

As NW said, career politicians are a horrible breed of humans..not interested in anything but their own material advancement.  They claim to be interested in "the people", but only to gain power.
   When a citizen comes along who is powerful enough to be elected, and the career type realize he wants only has the interest of the American people at heart..they plot against him..ergo the bogus Trump trials.  He wasn't a club member..

  So far as the problems extant in the world, each of us is quite powerless to directly affect them.
  However, I can have compassion for starving children the world over, such as those in the Ukraine, as well as the little ones suffering under bridges over the Rio Grande.  I can chew gum and walk at the same time.
   As I spoke in another post... I do not hate or dislike the Russian people, but their leaders are another case.

  It is easy to sit and take pot shots at our own country, and yes there are some who deserve it, especially career politicians.  However we should keep in mind that if we wish to condemn the United States, then we are disparaging every American from George Washington on down, as well as every American who ever served in her military.

  Yes there are some , even many..individuals who deserve our scorn..but let's reserve that scorn for the actual wrong doers by name, and not heap excrement on all 330 million citizens ..or our country.

   Let's keep in mind, we should be the UNITED States...also keep in mind, there was only one totally sin free man who ever walked this earth..

    A bit of histirical context:

  Bad as the Hiroshima/Nagasaki casualty rate was, it would have been exponentially worse, were it necessary to invade Japan's home islands.
  https://www.history.navy.mil/about-us/leadership/director/directors-corner/h-grams/h-gram-057/h-057-1.html#:~:text=In%20late%20July%201945%2C%20the,to%2010%20million%20Japanese%20dead.
       From the article;
      " The U.S. Sixth Army, which would invade and occupy Kyushu, estimated 124,935 U.S. battle casualties, including 25,000 dead, plus 269,000 non-battle casualties (disease, accident, etc.) for Kyushu alone. The JCS came up with an estimate that a 90-day campaign on Kyushu would cost 156-175,000 battle casualties, with 38,000 killed in action. By late July, the JCS was forecasting 500,000 casualties at the high end and 100,000 at the low end. In late July 1945, the War Department provided an estimate that the entire Downfall operations would cause between 1.7 to 4 million U.S. casualties, including 400-800,000 U.S. dead, and 5 to 10 million Japanese dead."

   So the best intel at that time was 1.7 million to 4 million American casualties, to include between 400-800,000 dead dead..along with5 to 10 million Japanese dead.  A cold way to put it, but "the
 bomb" actually saved a few million lives.
  If Pres Truman had refused to use "the bomb"....many of our friends and spouses may never have been born..perhaps even in some cases, ourselves..

   Is that worth thinking about?

Texas and Arizona are under siege on our borders with zero assistance from the other 46 states.

You claim to be a "history buff",  but don't seem to care for American history circa 1952 forward to the present, where America has done the same thing Russia is doing now.
Putin isn't pulling triggers soldiers are. Just like the nation building takeovers the United States is guilty of.

You laud these "special ops patriots" for voluntarily fighting in another countries war, while ignoring their own. i. e. Your political compassion is a confusing mess.

You don't seem to care about American citizens on the border suffering the border invasion, but mention those illegals under a  bridge.

Your posts are a constant contradiction of themselves.

You're truly clueless as to what is going on down here, and are passionately addicted to a county 6,000 miles away.

Consider Dee.. Here on GBO you are speaking to other Hunters & outdoorsmen..yet you take us to task for not supporting Texas and New Mexico more. So far as I know, not one person here is not in sympathy with your cause, excluding possibly a couple Dems and a Brit ! What would you have us to do?  I have offered a suggestion of a "freedom camp out'..and said if I were closer, I would be willing to join you..

You claim to be a "history buff",  but don't seem to care for American history circa 1952 forward to the present, where America has done the same thing Russia is doing now.
  Of course, I am well aware of the various conflicts around the world..I can REMEMBER the Korean conflict and parts of WW2, and how it affected people here in the US...  However, everyone I knew at the time, was four score behind their country in that struggle.  "What Russia is doing now".. a small correction, we were not seeking to take over any other countries..along with their natural resources and their unwilling population.  We are in no way imperialists, and haven't been for well over a century. !  ..remember, the Empire of Japan attacked us..and the Russian Empire attacked the Ukraine..

Putin isn't pulling triggers soldiers are. Just like the nation building takeovers the United States is guilty of.  ...But Putin is pulling the "big trigger" that pulls the trigger on an assaulting war machine..  Even with the mistaken notion of "nation building"..the plan was to root out terrorism which threatens us.  Once done, then leave them to govern themselves.

You laud these "special ops patriots" for voluntarily fighting in another countries war, while ignoring their own. i. e. Your political compassion is a confusing mess.
  Not exactly Dee, since I see in Ukraine, a very close reflection of our nation in it's infancy.  Out fledgling United States was faced with what was likely the most powerful empire on earth.   These Spec Ops personnel are akin to those foreign born who came to aide an America in it's birth contractions..  men like Gen Lafayette (French), Fredrich Von Steuben(German),Thaddeus Kosciusco (Polish), John Paul Jones (a Scot), among many others.  Freedom counts for many diverse people.[ /color]

You don't seem to care about American citizens on the border suffering the border invasion, but mention those illegals under a  bridge.
  Where in the world did you ever get that idea, haven't I continually voiced concern over our  border situation?  Yes, voicing concern is but a small gesture, but I see little more for many here.  Who here has travelled to the border and protested.. or who has gone to Washington and visited their congressional representatives?

Your posts are a constant contradiction of themselves.

     In what way is your G2 superior to mine?  What source do you see, which I do not see?
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   So Dee, While i believe almost everyone here has real concern for our border, I can understand your special concern, since you may live in an area which is more directly affected by the illegal, democrat border actions.  however, perhaps you and I should drop this discussion  for the benefit of peace on GBO..
The United States has been invading smaller, weaker countries, overthrowing their governments, killing their citizens that resisted, setting up puppet governments, AND FAILING since 1952.
That your in denial comes as no surprise. That you defend it, comes as no surprise. That you disagree with me, comes as no surprise, and that I find your politics goofy,  and off center at best, should also come as no surprise.
AND, your habitual breakdown per sentence in red, doesn't reinforce your  points objecting to my comments, because I expect you to disagree.
Operation "Rolling Thunder", i.e. the United States bombing of North Vietnam  have estimated 180,000 civilian deaths in that little mission alone..
Total civilian death toll during the United States occupation of Vietnam is estimated a 365,000.
So, I started this thread. Your the one that jumped in,weighed in, and (as usual) with your all knowing, infinite understanding,  and fact twisting. Which I find consistently wacky.  We ain gonna agree, so do us both a favor, and get on down the road.  ;)
IG..,..
So, you must remember the Japanese tried to surrender 3 times before getting a nuked.
You may not be looking for war,
But war is looking for you.
.
   SO  TM..you have my curiosity piqued.  I have only read about the attempted delivery of a possible attempt to surrender, which was given to the Russians.  ..And of course, Stalin did not forward the "feeler", since he was tied up in Manchuria, and wanted no peace until he could put troops in Japan...and then carve out a slice for himself, as he did in Germany.
  If you have a  credible source for surrender attempts, please pass it on, I would like to see it !
It is not all the American people talking about Ukraine.  It is the media.  It is a way for them to deflect attention to our own problems.  Right now, besides Ukraine, most Americans are upset about high gas prices.  Most want the government to have a comprehensive energy policy using ALL forms of energy.  Not extreme either way.  The border has been out of the news for a while.  Don't know why.
Ukraine can lead to WWIII.  Some NATO members want the US to enforce a no fly zone.  Biden doesn't want to upset Putin for fear of nukes.  China is the one we need to put pressure on to not support Russia.  If they don't support Russia, they will crumble in about 10 days.  They are running out of ammo, and military food.  Captured Russians were eating food rations that expired in 2015.  They can't fight without ammo and without food.
Other than threads I personally started on our border crisis, there hasn't been any. Almost nuthin on gas prices. See for yourself that Americans are distracted and talking about the Ukraine.
This site is a sample of American focus. The American people thrive on tragedy, and underdogs. There just isn't enough blood and guts, and dead children on our own border, or at the gas pumps.
LOL, I'd prefer to just finish the wall, back the Border Patrol, the State Troopers, and Sheriff's Offices, and punish the border jumpers.
The foreign mercenaries got cruise missiled in the building they were put up in. The ones that survived were threatened to be shot in the back if they tried to leave. They were put up in a building with no operational security.  The Russians knew all about it. The Ukrainians intentionally made it a target so they could try to garner sympathy from the west.
"Texas and Arizona are under siege on our borders with zero assistance from the other 46 states."
You left out NM and California being under siege also. Of course state government in both states doesn't care but the citizens have to deal with it just like in Texas and Arizona. Eventually it will filter on north and others might wake up to what is going on and still nothing will be done by the federal government to stop it.
