I see a real similarity between the Ukraine of 2022 and the United States of1776..
1) Both were formerly dominated by a major empire
2) Both were rudely "used" by those empires.
3) Both gained liberation. One by revolution, the other by the failure of the oppressing empire.
4)Problem being ..with Ukraine, the old, oppressive empire wants a redux..
5) Like the fledgling US, instead of bowing to invader, Ukraine decided to fight.
6) For the US, many foreign military experts came to help. e.g. Gen Lafayette, Thaddeus Kociusco, John Paul Jones, Baron Von Steuben, etc.
7) The infant US, had to fight a guerilla war to start, losing continually..until Washington had his Trenton and Morristown moments, followed soon by Saratoga.
However...unless God intervenes, things do not look very positive for the bravepeople of the Ukraine. Itbhas been said that where military strategy is concerned.."amateurs talk "tactics", while professionals discuss "logistics".
All the tactics in the world are of little effect, unless logistics are in place. No army, no matter how right, brave or determined can long endure without food, wepons, ammunition or other needs.
With Russia's current 'scorched-earth' and non-combatants-be-damned policy..logistics will soon be failing for the freedom fighters.
However, the people of the Ukraine need God's help, even if it comes in the form of a sympathetic power.. just as France helped so greatly at Yorktown, in Virginia.
