I don't bounce anymore
« on: March 20, 2022, 12:08:48 PM »
A couple of days ago the fence on the south side of my house was covered in tumbleweeds. I just left them and the wind switched to the south as it always does and they had moved over to the north fence this morning like I knew they would as soon as the wind changed. Since the wind was coming directly from the south I carried tumbleweeds out to the road and watched them head north hopefully never to return. There were a few hung up in the fence corner inside the pasture and I decided they needed to join their friends in their journey. My right hip was dealing me quite a bit of misery so instead of taking a hike to the nearest gate and back I decided to crawl through the barb wire fence. Everything was good until I snagged my toe which resulted in me landing flat on my back in a pile of tumbleweeds. Just whomp and I was flat and full of tumbleweed stickers. I just lay there for a while until I recovered my breath and dignity and then I rolled over in the weeds which resulted in more stickers. I got to my knees, then made it to my feet, and from there hobbled into the house where I took a couple of aleve and a short rest in my recliner. I'm going to be a sore geezer in the morning. I did take time to get rid of the rest of the weeds first.

I walked out of my garage the other day, and there was a giant tumbleweed between my pickup, and Linda's sun. Both were in the carport,  and I live in town.

But back to the bounce issue.  It's kinda like biscuit dough hittin the cutting board.

I don't bounce very well but am an expert at falling. I get lots of practice so have gotten really good at it.
