The valley of Megiddo..
« on: March 26, 2022, 11:58:44 AM »
Propohecy speaks of the Valley of Megiddo, yhe place where the final battle will be fought.  Hollywood and various sensationalist writers have woven stories about the battle yet to be fought there!

Yes, the "Battle of Armageddon", has been sensationalized way beyond any sense.  Armageddon will be a huge battle..when the combined armies from the north and their allies around the Mediterranean and the Levant will gather to attack Israel.

Napoleon once viewed the valley and said this (from the article).

"The immensity of the plain is so astonishing that when Napoleon Bonaparte first viewed it, he was reported to have said: “All the armies of the world could maneuver their forces on this vast plain...There is no place in the whole world more suited for war that this...[It is] the most natural battleground of the whole earth”

Me?  I don't expect to witness the battle, unless I am watching from Heaven..

Napoleon Bonaparte was an artillery officer..so I suspect he was looking at the surrounding hills and thinking.."high ground for gun emplacements".

Look how Little and Big Roundtops, carried the battle at Gettysburg..

Well Locust, here is an article written by Amir tsarfati, a Jewish preacher who lives on a hill that overlooks that valley..
  ....study and learn..

Did you notice the similarity..  MEGIDDO  AR-MAGEDDON

The valley is now called Armageddon..

you do realize that you have taken information from the book revelation. its a book of signs . thats important to understand that the things said are not to be taken literally with men fighting . what you should take from the description of the battle is that it will be seriously   one sided. God is going to win in a big way

Surprise...I realize what I took it from...I have been studying, preaching and teaching  the Bible for about 50 years.

i will admit that serious scholars can differ, and often do, but your pronouncement that the book of Revelation is just a book of
   "signs", ...is far off base.

Some of the Preterist persuasion, seem to believe those events took place in the 1st century AD, but most tend to place them as
future events!  No credible scholar simply dismisses the book as "signs"..

Just because you don't understand it, or it doesn't fit your handler's narrative, doesn't mean that you can simply dismiss it as "signs"..  you must deal with it !

you dont like the word signs ??? i hesitated in using the word interpreted, yet thats kind of what has to happen to gain understanding. the   whole book does have to have need of discernment . maybe someone try's to say who/what the names of the two wittiness are. their names are not the point  ,it does not matter .the issue is in fact that there are two witness .which BTW makes it a legal testimony

yes .lets go to the book rev18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."
its saying there is coming a great judgment ,yet before the judgment comes a warning to people he likes .he gives them time to see that there are things they are doing that displeases the most high God, and as well Jesus the appointed one. What happens to those that refuse ?? destruction!
