If he was going to be on the board, he would have been limited to around 15% of the company, as he has 9% now. Not being on the board allows him to buy more stock in Twitter. If he can gain about 25%, he basically can be the CEO of the company. I think he is going to buy more stock and eventually take over the company. Twitter has censored him many times. His actions to me make him a Libertarian. He said he was fiscally conservative (capitalism works) and socially liberal (let people live like they want to live and maybe legalize pot). This fits the libertarian mold. He thinks people should have more children to provide workers and tax base to support the elderly and disabled. He has about 7 kids now. His older sons have been seen around Boca Chica, Texas where he is building his Mars rockets and Mars launch base. If he doesn't like something, he sets out to change it. 80% of all electric cars being made are Teslas. Tesla is about the only American company that makes solar panels. He now has 3 Tesla factories in the US. One in California (was once a GM plant), one in Nevada, and now one in Texas. He built charging stations all over the country for Teslas. There is one about 2 miles from my house. He not only has a physics degree, but a degree in economics from the same school Trump went to. He is a hands on CEO. Last year SpaceX launched 75% of the tonnage of satellites and people into space. In the last 2 years SpaceX has launched 26 people into space. The first 2 years of shuttle, they launched 16 people. He reuses his rockets. He now has around 115+ successful rocket landings in a row. He launches satellites cheaper than anyone else because of this. In about a year 75% of all operational satellites will be his in Starlink satelites. This is impressive. They said back in 2012 landing a rocket couldn't be done, but he blew up a lot of them trying to land, until he got it right. He said you have to blow up rockets and engines to find out their limits and their faults and fix them. Not afraid of failure until he gets it right. Cars he made in 2012 are still running and haven't had to replace batteries with over 300,000 miles of driving. His car batteries have an 8 year warrenty. You get free charging at his charging stations for 50,000 miles, it was 100,000, but they lowered it. He has offered all other electric car makers the right to charge at his stations for a fee. He said he would allow them to use his design on charging adapters for this.
I like what he has done and accomplished so far, especially in space. He is sometimes querky, and has smoked pot on the Joe Rogan show. I sometimes think he does this to get approval from people on the left as he is conservative in economics, business, and doesn't like government over-regulation. Right now the FFA is holding up him launching his Starship in Boca Chica. This rocket is over 400' high, fully reusable, and has a thrust of 18 million lbs. (Saturn V had 7.5 million). This rocket is to go to Mars, land, deliver 100-150 tons of cargo or people, and return to earth and land back on earth.
