Zimbabwe is a sad situation. Zimbabwe was once known as Southern Rhodesia..while today's Zambia was Northern Rhodesia. ..Named of course, for Sir Cecil Rhodes..
As the Rhodesias were colonies, and the indigenous people were convinced that even though they were living fairly well, with a burgeoning agriculture, featuring a good beef industry. They were convinced they would do much better if they gained their "independence"..
So after much disturbance and turmoil, Southern Rhodesia became Zimbabwe in 1980.
Almost immediately, "agricultural reform" was enacted...farms were seized from white farmers..and handed over to people who had no grasp of farming.
So today, the country is starving..despite haveing been gifted with much mineral wealth..from copper, to gold, iron and even diamonds. Zambia also..
Once more..be careful what you wish for..you may just get it !
