Maybe because when the banded dude was here, and at the other site, it got heavy coverage of said same, and no one wants to repeat.

Two nights ago I decided to look at videos of different peoples reaction to first time hearing/seeing played on video, of various songs.
Some Black persons listening to Gerry Raferties, Beaker Street was fascinating; ditto for Danish Orchestra playing the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
Their wide eyed very positive responses, makes one feel good in knowing that the BLM street trash does not represent , AT ALL, their society.

One dudes response was he thought maybe he could get his son interested in Classical Music to the point he would learn how to play it.

I like some classical music. But not all of it. Don’t care for heavy metal either.

I am impartial. I like all kinds of music, just some kinds more than others. Most of my listening is to the 50'd gold, 60's gold, 70's, and classic rock channels on Sirius/XM but I also like bagpipes. Yeah, bagpipes. Must be all that DNA from a bunch of my ancestors. I can do some of country as long as it isn't the squeeky fiddle, whining, and crying in my beer crap along with some classical. I can't abide rap except for one old one that is funny. Throw in mountain music which is close to bluegrass which I also like. When it is too cold or too hot to be outdoors I like to browse youtube music. There are an amazing number of really good performers that you will find nowhere else.

Look up Reverend Payton's Big Damn Band. This guy can't sing for sour apples but he is a heck of a guitar player.

Worked the 2010 Census and was on second shift.  After about 5:00 pm I started playing music from my phone and everyone liked it (there were about 20 of us).  I put it on random play, majority was oldies rock, just a little country and classical, a few novelty, etc.  After about 2-3 weeks bagpipes came up for the first time and I got an immediate objection.  One of the ladies complained that bagpipes scared her.  Several of the others liked them but had to skip them, did not want to cancel all music.

i go in streaks. For a year or two its country then back to classic rock. But for the most part classic rock is my favorite. Its what i grew up with. In all reality todays country is basicaly the same thing as alot of the classic rock. Bands like the eagles, creedence, ect would be country if those songs were made today. Heck it turns my stomach but ive even seen rap music in country today.

I always liked rock, and classic rock, and still prefer it over anything else.  Not much of a country music listener. I do like Christian songs, and Christian rock.  Favorite bands growing up were Lynyrd Ksynyrd, Fleetwood Mac. Bob Seger, ZZ Top, John Mellencamp. Boston, Def Leapord, the Cars, Pink Floyd. Always thought David Gilmore was a great guitar player and song writer.  Some Metallica, some Led Zeppelin.

Was at Silver Dollar City yesterday and today.  Saw Sister Sadie for the first time yesterday afternoon.   Toward the end of their set they sang Blue Bayou.  Only used two instruments, a base and a mandolin.  The mandolin was only used for 10 or 15 seconds near the middle  Three of them were singing and it was great.    They have not recorded it yet, I would love to have it along with my versions by Linda Ronstadt, Roy Orbison, and Patsy Cline.
