Just what we need. More legislation directed at more "background checks". I.E. more government intrusion into gun ownership, and gun owners lives.
Every bit as helpful as "The Patriot Act" and "The Department of Homeland Security".

Both of those have really worked well for the American people.

Why not do the obvious. Take down the "gun free zone signs", train the teachers, arm them, and like Florida, force the public schools to comply.

We already have federal background checks, the very last thing we need is more "government intrusion" into our lives.

Hysteria always invites more government.

After propped open teacher got phone came back in and closed it.

Then she slammed it.

Then she slammed it so hard it didn't lock.

This door needs to be forensically checked for function and design..... before they tear down the school or somebody tampers with it.

But I doubt that will happen, because 'it was slammed but didn't lock' is now official narrative.

The Texas Legislation has made numerous concessions, and passed numerous  laws for the Texas School system to harden their schools against attacks. Few have taken advantage of the programs, or laws, the Uvalde Independent School District included.

The Texas Legislature is trying to preserve individual rights, and allow entities to self govern.

What the CNN host is harping on is "MORE GOVERNMENT". What the interviewee is answering with is "CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS" which you claim to support, but in this instance you are siding with the far left CNN news, an anti 1st, and 2nd Amendment enemy if their ever was one.

You claim to know where my interests lie. You've missed my point by a country mile. My interests are: fairness, honest, unbiased justice,  and making good decisions based on FACTS.

Categories that seem to elude you, or your "ax grinding" desire overrides honesty.

Your interests are obvious. Defame, and insult law enforcement, even lying if necessary, and now Texas itself.

Your a first grade reader to any thinking adult, by ignoring the FACT that the Uvalde Independent School District totally failed in providing a safe, and secure school environment for THE CHILDREN.

Haven't seen any local news releases saying the teacher repeatedly slammed the door. Just that she closed it, and it apparently didn't lock, and she got a lawyer.

I don’t really know what you are suggesting. If it is any type of gun control you have lost the argument as it does not work. Harden the soft targets I.e. schools, and these turds “will” go elsewhere, period...

Most of the parents in Uvalde were not in the rich and famous class, but, at the school they tried to be parents but were denied with handcuffs, pepper spray, and a taser.
The cops should have acted like cops.  Or is that just how cops act??

I just watched a male teacher who was shot and survived.  ALL 11 OF HIS STUDENTS WERE MURDERED.
He blamed the cops, he said they had bulletproof vests, and he had nothing.
One little girl was shot up so bad that her mother could only identify her by her green tennis shoes.

I want to say to my friends here that I have great respect for you, not including Dee.

Thanks Pastor, I don't plan on answering any more of his posts, I said what I think and that's it.
Every time they show those CHILDREN on TV, Nancy and I can't help but shed a tear.
As parents we can't imagine losing our daughter so our hearts go out to them.
Sadly probably nothing will happen regarding hardening schools around this country.
