Seems like Browning/FN just couldn't stand letting Springfield Armory have all the market on the old P35. Wonder how this one will be priced compared to the Springfield version. FN stopped making them cuz they couldn't sell them at a price point that made a profit and enticed folks to buy them.

If you ask me (as the saying goes) that ain't no High Power, about the only things that tie that thing it to a High Power is the caliber and the name of the Company that made it.

$1265.00 to $1370.00 depending on which one you want.

I had one years ago, and it was a
fine well built piece of hardware.
But the hole in the end was too small,
and I let somebody carry it home
for a quantity of bills.
Wasn't too long afterwards that a
coworker brought a new one back
from lunch with 40 S&W on the side.
Oh well.  I'd already had my fling and
moved on
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

The old Brownings were great pistols, but I ain't a 9mm fan. In the last several years I kinda regret gettin rid of my Kimber K6S. It was a handful with the stock grips and hot magnum loads but now folks like Altamont are makin a little better grips for it.
My old 686 don't hurt on my end with  a hot load, guess I'll just stay with it.

Those FN Hi-Powers might be good in a 40 if they make'em in 40.

They did 30 some odd years ago, but that
was after I'd already had my 3 different
9 mm handguns, and had quit trying.
Ammo is way way different now than
it was then

I'll take 125 grain semi-jacketed hp in a 357 magnum over anything else in a pistol.

I've used those and load for an old
Pre 27 N frame and a 681
I always wish I'd bought several of
the 681's. They had em stacked in
a case to the side and I almost missed
seeing em. Police department trade
ins from LAPD IIRC. Scratched up
somewhat, but plenty tight.
