ok, I see Eagle Grips make a Gunfighter grip, as does www.pistolgrips.com...
I am looking for a thinner grip for my SBH 4 5/8...
what says you?

I bought a set of the ebony gunfighter grips from pistolgrips.com a week or so back.  I haven't shot with them a whole lot, but I've shot with them some and I like the feel of them.  I was a little worried about percieved recoil with the thinner grips, but I don't find it to be a problem.

Nice fit and finish.

i have used a set on my vaquero for abt a year now. love em
they give you more directional feel thus the gunfighter name.
the only draw back i know of to them is with heavy loads the checkering will grind into your hand some.
i got the fake ivory, wish i had bought the checkered buffalo horn

I just got checkered gunfighter grips for my SASS guns. The checkering and grip shape help to anchor the guns in my hand.
For higher recoil applications, consider the gunfighter grips without checkering. Get the advantage of the grip shape, but not the rasp effect of the checkering.

scott Kolar of skgrips.com will thin your factory grips and refinish them. He does a real nice job and they feel alot better in the hand. I highly recomend all of Scotts work. I have a few sets of his grips and have had some thinned and he does top shelf work.

Have Eagle Gunfighter Grips on my 6 1/2" Blackhawks in .38/357 - bought the checkered ones (don't rotate in my hand and the fit is great).

Bought these four (4) years ago and now, my other six (6) cowboy pistols all the same Eagle grips.  Good company - great service!!

I traded off my vaquero because I have short fingers.  The grip was too big.  Now I held my pard Boss Drovers Ruger with Gunfighter Grips and it makes all the difference in the world.  Gonna get me another Ruger someday and put new furniture on it ASAP.

To Inluvwithsara.........I'd be interested to know what movie the "Anything goes wrong" line is in. It isn't "Pulp Fiction," is it?
