No offense guys. I am a proponent of concealed carry until this state legislates open carry. I have no incentive to change that mind set. There is current state law, FS § 790.25(3)(h) and (j), that permits open carry to and from (non-stop) and while fishing, camping, hunting, and range practice, and FS § 790.25(3)(n) while in one's place of business (owner permitting), and at home. I open carry while hunting my own land. I've got bears, FL Black bears, but one never knows, AND two-legged deer.
There are ID-10-T YouTube and TicTok wannbe's in this coastal state, mostly bridge, shoreline, jetty, or pier fishing, that test the Public and the law, walking around in parking lots and on streets (to and from) open carrying AR's every chance they get. The Public calls the police. The Police respond. The ID-10-T's take video, are polite to the Police, and "legal". Some have even been "detained" and a few arrested. Settlements after arrest have been noteworthy, which I think fuels the other wannabe's.
NONE OF THAT, peacock strutting stuff, furthers the RKBA.
