DDZ...this is similar to what you will often hear in independent, evangelical churches. Keep in mind, many of
the independents were started because people saw their big organization church departing form the Bible.
Personally, i think our Pastor is rather exceptional..but I suppose many other folks think that way too.
We hav eone lady in our church, a retired school teacher and former roman Catholic, who has of late been struggling.
Problem being, she has a gay grandson. He is talented, but we will not allow him to perform on the dias, because he refuses to renounce the homosexual lifestyle, and repent to God..
We don't hate anybody, but allowing him to address from the raised platform, could be viewed as an endorsement of his problem. We will never do that !
He is welcome to attend church with us, and listen to the messages..but nothing beyond that.
She has sat out her usual performing in the choir/worship service for months because of this..but this past Sunday, she was back up there singing..(she has a great, trained voice).
