Marlin trigger springs
« on: March 11, 2004, 06:39:30 AM »
I have a Mdl 1894C and a 39A Marlin both of which need a little help in the trigger pull department.  Both have creep free triggers but the pull on both is heavy.  Before I go the WWG $90 route for the 1894C and the gunsmith route for the 39A, does anyone know where I could obtain lighter trigger springs for both?

Thanks in advance
Happy Trails!

Give Brownells a call.  If they don't have a spring sprcifically for that application I'd be surprised simply because of the amount of demand from the cowboy shooting fraturnity.  At the least they have a wide assortment of spring stock from which one can make his own.  You can also deal with Wolf Springs directly.  There are some that Brownells doesn't stock because of low demand, although I'd bet the Marlins not one of them..  Good luck..   If you go the srping stock route you'll need a calipher to measure the wire diameter and spring diameter as well as the coils per inch..
