Thousands of cattle 'poisoned' in Kansas?
« on: June 15, 2022, 03:33:26 PM »
Authorities say heat wave.
Nope, it wasn't that hot.
Around 10,000 beef cattle dead and looks like poisoning.
This follows in wake of over 24 food plants and food distribution centers being fire bombed!
It appears somebody is attacking food supply in the USA _ _ what say you?

I agree way to many food processing plants being burned down for it to be just coincidence.  Now 10,000 cattle poisoned.  Not long ago I had heard of a very large poultry farm burning to the ground, along with all the chickens in it.

Just wondering what any forum members from Kansas or Nebraska or in the cattle business have heard about this kill. And if it the event was noted in local news.
. I would think this event would be newsworthy, and if not some kind of mass culling, it would be
'investigated'.  But who knows in this day and age.
.
Other reports say 2000 head died from heat stress .

The area where the cattle died had temps as high as 108 with wind less then 5mph and high humidity plus not cooling at night. Not long before lows had been in the 30s and 40s and then the sudden heat wave. Mature cattle could not adapt quick enough. Nothing other than mother nature doing her thing.

It got really hot here rapidly, high humidity, and no wind, no cloud cover. Didn't cool down much at night. Black cattle with their heavier winter coats overheated and died. There are normally about 2.5 million cattle in feedlots here in Kansas and a few thousand didn't survive. Cattle die in feedlots every day, some days more than others. What needs to be investigated?

Hauled to a rendering plant or get out the bulldozer, dig a pit, push them in and cover them up

Ok Shaggy..,, I guess it sounds feasible. Except the video in post #1 showed alot of dead cattle in one location.  Alot.
.

The video didn't say what that one location was. Some of the larger feedlots can have 100,000 cattle, so that pile of dead cows wouldn't be all that many considering the tens of thousands that survived the heat

Drought didn't have anything to do with it.

The ranchers here keep water ponds and tanks readily available.  If they even have to pump it. Windmills are still working.

On top of the chicken farm and the cattle dying, here is a list of places that have burned or destroyed that have to do with our food supply. Even a train derailment of fertilizer, and a fertilizer plant catching fire.  Just blame it all on global warming right?

So you think feedlots and cattle ranchers let thousands of cattle die by not giving them enough water?
