 Frankly, I would hope that NASA would cooperate with Musk and build a good program through private industry.. e.g. Boeing, Lodkheed, General Dynamics etc.

 Then take the extra money wasted through NASA blunders, and spend it on the new Space Force..which we may soon be needing.

  Don't expect much cooperation from the Biden bunch, since Musk has come out for freedom for the individual..

Musk is going to test his space ship soon. An actual orbit, unmanned. I hope it works.

Biden fired the man in charge of the Space Force...because Trump appointed him, and now they are trying to let the Space Force "die on the vine".
  Any major future war much will be fought in space.  It seems everything we do is tied to GPS.  I rather doubt new sailors are even taught to use a sextant !

   One of many  jobs of the Space Force, would obviously to keep the enemy running blind..

  We could use that technology, even now !
