It was a stunning victory for the National Rifle Association gun lobby group, which brought the case along with two New York men who had been denied gun permits.

"Today's ruling is a watershed win for good men and women all across America and is the result of a decades-long fight the NRA has led," NRA executive vice president Wayne LaPierre said in a statement.

"The right to self-defense and to defend your family and loved ones should not end at your home."

Wayne LaPierre has to go but this is a good thing.

The wording of the 2nd amendment proves that the 2nd is not about hunting or target shooting or self defense, but about keeping tyranny by the government at bay.
The security of a FREE state.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

i dont really consider this a victory. more an acknowledgment of what we always knew. It could have far reaching implications. If its read like they said there should no longer be legal attacks to mag capacitys or types of guns or even full auto guns. There should be no state to state laws to worry about when you cross a border. There should be no more restricted carry in some buildings. Heck there shouldnt even be anything unconstitutional or illegal about owning  a short barreled rifle or shotgun or even full auto guns. Id bet the games are about to begin. They will challenge each of these when someone tests the ruling. But if the government has no say they have no say period. They ruled that the second amendment protects us from ANY attack on our gun rights.

I heard the NY governor say that they will require proper training to get a permit (probably expensive) and she went on to say it's just getting started, with a smirk on her face, meaning, we'll do everything possible to stand in the way of people carrying guns, meaning, only our criminals are allowed to carry.

Don't expect the leftist politicians to suddenly say.." Oh..i get it now, the 2nd amendment is for freedom..so we can stop harassing people now!"

No..they are already on  different tack !  Now they re making it too costly to own a gun.  They are going to raise the cost of ammo to the skies etc.

Now you know why, I have everything I need to make my own, and that includes jacketed bullets!

How about primers?  Primers are hard to come by these days, especially large rifle and large rifle magnum.  Can you make primers?

Gun powder is not hard to make.  Neither is lead bullets.  I've seen how to make jacketed 44 mag bullets from 40 S&W brass filling it with lead.  But Primers.

I have a good supply of everything, I don't need to make primers or powder.

I don't make halfassed jacketed bullets out of old casings, I have everything to make "bonded core" copper jacketed bullets.
