Doesn't really matter

Lots of different components and
hardware on "American " bikes are
imported
Not anything like the old Milwaukee
days when pretty much all bolts
and pins and everything was US

Harley was using foreign made parts back in "79. It's been a long time since Harley's were totally US.

No, it was fork assemblies, speedometers and tachometers that I am sure of. I don't doubt there were some bearings and bolts in there too. The reason I'm sure is my son wrote a letter to Harley questioning the use of Japanese parts on his Harley and received a reply explaining why they did so. It seemed no US company was interested in making the relatively small numbers of what they needed so they had to go elsewhere.
