Win. 100 magazine
« on: July 04, 2022, 05:21:45 PM »
Every once in a while I get a failure to feed in my .308 win. 100. I just had it happen again today. I was using some good federal ammo with a 165 grain sierra game king soft point bullet. The last cartridge tipped up too far and got hung up before it got into the chamber. Im guessing it's a magazine issue. The mag is pretty old. There are no new magazines available, and any used ones are priced way too high.
Im wondering if the problem is wear ,or has the feed lip(s) moved a little from maybe being dropped or hit somehow. Whatever the cause, is it possible to fix the mag? I need this gun as reliable as possible.

IF you find a quality gunsmith, especially one familiar with this firearm, it can be adjusted, but it will not be cheap either.
