Enabling and making excuses again
« on: July 05, 2022, 12:15:12 PM »
Saw some "news " a bit ago
Looks like the Independence Day
shooter has been a known problem
child for years and wasn't one of
those that "flew under the radar "
like they're so fond of saying.
I would say he was just an embarrassment
to his family, and they just enabled
him and made excuses for him all
along.  The reports say he was
detained for threatening to kill his
family and hisself with knives a
few years back, but the family
declined to press any charges,
Instead, making excuses and
thereby enabling him once again.

There was a similar case across the
way here, but I was told today that
the enabled party is now back in
prison for a long time, and probably
won't be enabled by family for years
to come

Just saved you a handful of bullets, court, and sleep will come a bit more naturally...

I watched a video yesterday that said on his twitter account he "liked" every liberal post, but that he went to a couple of Trump rallies and other gatherings where he would drape himself with a U.S. flag.
I'd guess that he was planning a long time to make people think he was a Trump supporter when he killed.

The "news" people just showed an
uncle saying "what a good young
man he is,  and he's never shown
any signs of this crazy behavior.  ."
blah blah blah yak yak yak,  etc.

Really ? ! ? ! ? !
And this uncle says this with
a straight face.  . .

Anybody that's seen the pictures,
have you not seen any neon red flags?

I guess he had his uncle fooled.
That said, I'm totally against red flags unless a person can prove that a person is a danger to himself or others.

What I've seen myself is strictly
from embarrassment that the relative
is nutty and they think that the
revelation might reflect negatively
on them

I'm sure that's true, but there's so many folks out there who will turn you in to the cops for something as minor as your table manners.
Very dangerous.
