Gray Fox
« on: July 11, 2022, 08:27:47 AM »
My Chicken killer mystery solved, Lately we have lost several layers to some dreadful varmint. This morning I had a young Gray Fox in my live trap. The kids, G. Grand-kiddies would not let Papa shoot the lil chicken killer, so I relocated it far away in a remote tree farm. I'm getting soft in my old age.!

Heh, when I started catching cats my wife made me promise to not kill them.
I let most of them loose at the airport since they had an abundance of rats there.

Plenty of rats?  Why didn't you drop them off at the DNC headquarters?   ;) ;D

They need to be exterminated.  I would guess in most states dumping of a domestic animal is illegal.

Eating a democrat likely would have killed them, and I did promise Nancy.  :)

I figured I was doing the airport a favor. :)

Relocating a known stock
killing pest is a waste IMO

Kill it and you never have to
deal with it again. Or SSS
if need be.
If you don't have the will to
do away with it, let a trapper
take care of it

If things get as bad as they're
predicting,  each egg, each chicken,
all your vegetables, any livestock
at all that you lose to varmints or
theft could make a difference between
sustaining your life and the lives of
your loved ones, or growing weak
and more susceptible to disease
and starvation
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

At 79 yrs old, I have prob dealt with more predators than you have. I never have had a problems with killing them. The situation I had today was a young GGrand kid with me when I found it, and he asked me to let it go. I did, and in an area away from farms and people. People my age invent the The 2 S's. We never needed the middle one. A waste of time and energy. Just shoot and shut up. Nothing goes to waste in the woods. Something will benefit from the loss of life. With all this said.......Thanks for your friendly advice! ;)

My great grandchildren live 50+ miles away and I still would've taken a gray fox for a long drive and turned him loose.

I catch a roaming house cat, and it's going to the ranch with me and John Browning where he'll become coyote crap.
You may all go to hell, I will go to Texas. Davy Crockett

I hear that! We have a healthy supply of them too. I also have a very quiet 22 cal magnum air rifle. They are hard on our quail population as well as turkey and song birds.
