I'm using Hornady and have had no problems, nor heard of any others having problems either, could you elaborate? You can use 458WM dies but obviously can't resize the case bases with them. Another option is use one set of 458WM dies (to size and flare necks and seat bullet), and buy a second set and cut the FL resizer/decapper die to 48mm (if I remember right?!). That will give you a hollow die that will allow a case to fit through and allow sizing of the base. (I hope that makes some sort of sense??)
Cheers...

slappy375,

I have never had a problem with any of the Hornady dies I have.  BUT if you want to try and save some money then check out Ebay.  I have seen many times die sets for the Lott on sale there, NIB.  Here is the address for Ebay's reloading auctions;

I just bought two RCBS 3-Die Carbide Sets for .44 mag. and .357 mag. that were NIB for less the $20.00 each.  Lawdog
