The cart before the horse

A pistol of an idea

 "Cart before the horse"  ..As an old man, I use that phrase often, especially with young folks who plan on "shacking up"..(another OLD saying).

    One old expression that doesn't sink into some folks.. "Why buy the cow, when you can get the milk for free?"

  Of course, if one's experiential wisdom is not requested..there is no use in trying to offer it..
