At Home Depot today
« on: August 03, 2022, 11:04:53 AM »
Picking up a few items. One thing on my list was rubber or nitrile gloves. “One size fits all” my arse, is all they had so left without. Extra large may be a bit long in the finger. Can ya see it?

You are as the axe-wielding Gimli in Lord of the Rings; abbreviated in stature with hands that won't palm a basketball? Depending on use, it might be better to have a little extra nitrile than none at all.  You could push the extra toward the web (intersection of finger and palm) with the other hand and make it work.

In contrast, I can palm a basketball.  On my hands, even XL gloves fit too tightly, don't extend to the web, and are prone to premature tearing.

I can get XXL nitriles on, although I would prefer XXX..but try finding some..

Basketball..don't know, I never played basketball, other "ball" games very little..

Large works well for me and I get them at Harbor Freight. I bet they came from the same Chinese factory as those at Home Depot. Just a different label on the box and a different price bar code.

Depending on brand the sizing may differ a bit, be we have found that these charts are accurate for the average soldier (used to issue their equipment).

The last box I bought was from
Harbor Freight, and I'm kinda sad
to say they've been the most durable
and well fitting rubber gloves I've
bought in a long time. Every box has
a size chart on the bottom that you
lay your hand on to figure your
proper size
One pair will last through dressing a
deer unless you nick it with your knife
or grab onto a splintery piece of bone
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

never had pair on other then combat medic training when they insisted. In the field back then nobody used them. Sure dont need them for cleaning deer and im not paranoid enough to wear them to prevent covid. Right up there with wearing masks if you ask me. Wife brought a pile home from the hospital she works at but even the xl's were to small and i wouldnt have wore them anyway.

I wear em when working with solvents and cutting up hot peppers. I always end up rubbing my eyes even though my hands were on fire earlier and still hot yet I’m not paying attention until my eyes start burning. I get em as big as I can so their not tight. My hands and fingers are big from a lifetime of hard labor.
