biden is supposed to announce 10k for anyone with a student loan. So now we pay for those liberal college kids to act stupid. The economy tanking and he wants the people that cant afford to send their kid to college to pay for those who could. Lots of smarter ways to deal with this that he totally ignores. You could put caps on what a college can charge. But then that would have them cutting the wages of professors and more likely the janitors ect and even themselves taking a cut in pay. They could also quit giving scholarships to everyone including athletes. If they want to play a game let them pay tuition and play it. Take the money made my college sports which is BIG money for colleges and spread it out giving lower tuition to everyone. Not just the jocks getting a phy ed degree but even those who are there to really get a degree and a career. There are coaches that make more then any 5 of us combined. Thats insane. Cap there salerys too. No coach needs to make more then a 100k a year. No professor should make more then 75k. Thats more then i made as a lineman and they dont even get there hands dirty or pick up anything heavier then a pencil. Eliminate fraternity. Colleges in this country spend millions organizing and policing them and they do not one bit toward educating i kid. That is unless smoking pot and drinking beer is something to put on a resume. Then we have the blacks complaining hes not forgiving enough!! Are they really that stupid as to not know whites out number all the other races combined in most colleges. You think if anyone would be against this it would be them. White upper class going to school of the backs of black slaves!!! Scares the hell out of me. This is biden going down for the second time trying to catch his breath. What happens when hes about to go down for the count!!

I have the cancelled, PAID IN FULL, loan documents, which I have thought long and hard about framing on my wall as an EXAMPLE of responsibility. 

YOU borrowed it.  YOU pay it back.

OTHERWISE, GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY, and the interest I would have drawn on it being in a bank for 40-years.  If they DO cancel the first $10K of student debt, the rest of the Nation, that pays tax, should get a $10K reduction in their Federal Tax.

If some of our college educated politicians are any gauge of what they got for the money spent on their education, the schools should be made to refund their money.  Anyway, unless things have changed a lot, you used to be able to get your college paid for by serving your country for a few years.  That's what I did and I'm sure lots of others here did the same.  Not only did Uncle Sam pay for my degree, but they paid me a little bonus to go with it.  All the while working full time as well.

What bothers me is the Dumycratics (commies) are apparently gearing up with buying votes for the next election.  Rigging the vote counting isn't enough I guess.

Join a police station and you get paid the set wage level. join the military you cant bargain for more money then any other private. When i was a lineman all lead lineman got paid the same salary. Now you explain to me why a college football coach should make a half million dollars a year or why I have to pay for my kid to go to college at a rate thats jumped 5 times the rate of inflation while some other kid can get a free ride just because he can play (censored word) basketball or even have more access to student loans and grants because his mother was never married and was on welfare all her life. theres a good point. Put it to a vote. Ask America if they want the trillions biden blew on green energy, electric cars, museums, forgiving college debt, and the rest of there socialist pet projects or if they would rather have one year of NO fed taxes. Id bet that it would be the biggest bipartisan landslide vote ever in this country. they are suppose to be working and representing ALL of us not just there special interest groups and handing out money just to get votes. My step son who loves college so much after 7 years of it got a job working at one called yesterday and told his mother about this program. We still owe 20k on a load the wife took out for him. She told him that we have way to much pride to make our neighbors pay for his college. Hes about as liberal as they come and he sure is standing in line with his hand out to get that 10k to pay for the loans he took out to pay his half of his college and his girlfriend is too. Funny thing is they can afford to go overseas on a vacation every winter and have an insanely expensive wedding planned for next summer and a trip to paris for a honeymoon. Pride? he doesnt know the meaning and thinks that because he was a member of a frat house is something that he should be proud of.

It seems to me that the first consideration should be for the Constitution to be followed and in that regard any money spent for anything must be initiated by the House of Representatives.  That might be a slow and arduous process--as it should be.

Let's take a hard look at the lives and decisions the loan recipients have made since their graduation from college. If they have not been continuously seeking better employment, if they have been LAX in paying their debt, if they have accepted food stamps or welfare, if they have $800 cell phones, suvs, and credit cards, they are a Bane on society, have shown their hand as inept, unhireable, and deserving of debtors prison or indentured military servitude; though I would not prefer them anywhere near our military hardware, and only as cannon fodder. Send them to Ukraine instead of another 80 billion

Overnight, I like FL Gov. Ron DeSantis' bold attestation that the colleges and universities, which sold the degrees and maintain courses of study that are financially useless and untenable, should be held responsible for absorbing the debt of its students.  The middle-class American taxpayer, Joe the Plumber, should not have to pay for the PhD (examples: Ancient Egypt, Art History, Ethnic Studies, Family Studies, International Studies, Journalism, Philosophy, Film Video Production,) loans, who can't (or won't) find work in their field.
