Nope.  This all started with LBJ with welfare and food stamps.  Then it expands into Medicaid.  More and more government benefits.  Fewer and fewer working.  There should be NO student loans given except for degrees the country needs such as doctors, nurses, engineers, etc.  A degree in French Literature is useless, same with about 50% of the so called liberal arts.  One is "Womens Issues"  These liberal kids took out loans for liberal degrees that have no place in the workforce, and expect the workers to pay for them. 

Government should always take a look at the degree vs the job opportunities for that degree before giving out a loan.  They also should look at the tuition costs of schools vs the degree value.  All the liberal arts schools would go bankrupt without these government student loans.

People have voted for goodies from the public trough ever since politicians learned they can buy votes, and gain power by taking money from hard working families and handing it out to those that have no skin in the game, or any stake in the result. We are now seeing the worst after decades of voting for a nanny state. Before it was just vote buying and power that was sought after. Now there is an evil government in control, that is doing everything it can to aide in this county's destruction.

  Another example of a  thinking process that operates like some rivers may run..'a mile wide and an inch deep'..

   When is the last time a man & woman worked the same job , with same skill level, and the woman received far less pay ?
  What many shallow thinkers miss out on, is the fact that many women do not work at the same place long enough to accumulate the same seniority.
  Often they lose time to pregnancy or other personal issues. Sometimes With a husband being the primary
   bread winner, a wife chooses not to work long term at any given place.

  So far as the bogus claim of "equal pay for similar work"..that is pure garbage, since those comparisons are an
  apples-to-oranges game, and rarely directly comparable.
