Charles Darwin..

  I think he made up his entire "theory", just to make him, and likely his ancestors.. look more acceptably human.

IG: What is the point of your post? There is an implied criticism of Darwin; the reason for the criticism is unclear.

TM: Who “commissioned” their work?
About them being “friends and mutual admirers of each other.”…..that is a bit of a stretch.

Darwin promoted evolution, rejecting creationism. He mislead many who trusted his so called science.

Darwin’s theories have long since been superseded by a synthesis of ideas that use information that was unavailable during Darwin’s life.
Modern evolutionary theory is probably the single most researched and verified theory in all of science. It is far, far from going away.

IG: Your use of those 19th century drawings says a great deal about your understanding (or misunderstanding) of Darwin’s ideas.
They were incorrect when originally published; they are incorrect today.

BS! Evolutionary theory is as incoherently stupid as it was in darwins' mixed up atheistic mind. "Verified theory" indeed. What an ignorant unproveable myth. ::)

Well, I was speaking about "Darwins Theory Of Evolution". That Godless heathens continually research it, vainly trying to validate it, is a well known gimme.  ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DG...
Not a stretch at all. The literati of the era all interacted. Letters, lectures, publications were the social media of the day. Darwin influenced evolution in nature by his natural selection theory; whereas Marx influenced social-economic evolution by a survival of the fittest doctrine. Engels financed Marx, whereas Darwin was wealthy; but both were shepherded by The Royal Scientific Academy, and both Darwin and Marx were Malthusians. Malthusian theory was very popular- - still is!  Interesting to note Marx routinely published a series of articles in the NY Times which captured the interest of Abe Lincoln who was also a student of Darwin _ _ sort of the first WEF club as it were. (Btw, it was associates and Malthusians Klaus Schwab and King Charles along with Gates who organized the present day WEF overlords; with King Charles being the origin of the memes 'build back better', 'great reset', 'climate change', etc.)
Interesting to note the Russians never really bought into Darwinism or the Social Darwinism of Marx_ _ that is until it was forced on them by Lenin, the Bolsheviks, and NY financiers. They much more accept the theories of nature as ascribed by LeMarck, which were far more humanitarian based.
Grab a cup of coffee and read the following article about the Darwin-Marx relationship.
https://answersresearchjournal.org/charles-darwin/engels-darwin-marx/
.
A couple of ideas:  you asked about who “commissioned” Darwin and Marx. Using the word “commissioned” implies that they were hired or tasked with a goal by someone else. There is no indication that that is true.
As far as the “friends and admirers” idea is concerned. The two never met and did not exchange correspondence. It is true that Marx was enamored of Darwin’s ideas whereas Darwin described Marx’ ideas as foolish.
The article (which I read) was focussed on Engels and Marx. Darwin was a reference point.
TM: whether the Royal society influenced the course of the world then or now is not the point to which I was reacting. I was commenting on your question about  who commissioned Darwin’s work. Darwin was, indeed, a member of the Royal Society. He became a member in 1839. The Beagle voyages began in 1832. Did the RS commission the “Origin of Species”? I do not know. There is no evidence that the RS did such. Even if they did, it is of little relevance to the questions and comments posted so far in this thread.
Dee: “Well, I was speaking about "Darwins Theory Of Evolution". That Godless heathens continually research it, vainly trying to validate it, is a well known gimme.”
You are behind on your science. Vainly trying? The idea has been repeatedly observed and verified.
They're latest scam is "evolutionary medicine". By pure coincidence their claiming advances in the understanding of cancer, autoimmune disease, genetic drift, sexual selection, diseases of civilization and anatomy using the scientific method hoax to promote their crazy theories.
They've even got "evolutionary psychology" which might be somewhat valid if it explains why libtards think like monkeys!
Don't even get me started on the "Big Bang Theory" bamboozle!
You need to explain that silly comment.
Your comment about the monkeys is a fair indication that you don’t know what you are talking about.
In that light, given their antics, liberals would appear to be closely related to monkeys.
But that would also raise a valid argument for very late term abortion.  :)
Speaking of "unprovable myth"  ALL religion is based on "unprovable myth", that is why it is called "Religion" it is based on faith not hard evidence. Before everyone attacks me (inevitable) I do have faith and do believe in that which can not be proved i.e. Religion.
Unprovable myth?
They found Noah’s Ark. Seems like hard evidence you can touch and feel would  trump unprovable myth to anyone with half a brain.
  From DG;
  " Modern evolutionary theory is probably the single most researched and verified theory in all of science. It is far, far from going away."
   Take note...  That is What some 'scientists' were saying about Darwin's theory a 150 years ago..
  In fact, they were so sure of themselves, that they allowed science books for students to be published and taught
 in public schools and universities for a century, without so much as a peep of correction  from them.
  Now, as they move closer to real enlightenment, there are cracks developing that they cannot deny.
  It seems they all claim that "science is never settled', yet for over a century many of them claimed it certainly was... in this case.
   Now, how many scientists from the 20th century back are admitting...... " I was wrong" ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

   Further comment from DG;
  "Your comment about the monkeys is a fair indication that you don’t know what you are talking about."

   Stay alert, truly searching scientists will soon start deserting the monkeys... then perhaps you will feel safe to
  do so also!  ...But some brave folks will have to break the ice and spill the beans..

   I assume you mean how the public school teachers went on for over a century, saying Darwin was entirely correct, and nobody was allowed to question the "theory" !

  The K-12 Christian school that I was involved with, made clear that our teachers taught BOTH leading positions.

  Guess we were more open minded...or if you prefer..more "scientific"..

Nor any math beyond addition, subtraction, multiplication and division as that's all that is in the Bible.

Geometry and trigonometry have roots in Islam and Hellenistic polytheism while Isaac Newton, the father of calculus, was a known heretic antitrinitarian.

We'd all be better off living a simple life without the complications induced by those satanic computational gyrations.

For over a century? Really?  Cracks began to appear in Darwin’s ideas within a couple of decades as new materials were discovered. Over the last century much of Darwin’s original idea has fallen by the wayside so much so that referring to the modern synthesis as Darwin’s theory is not actually correct.
“Both leading positions”   There are two? One is taught  in science class; the other in Bible study.

“ We'd all be better off living a simple life without the complications induced by those satanic computational gyrations”
So….advanced mathematics is satanic????
My goodness…..I am amazed yet again at how far from reality some of y’all travel.
