you think that nurses union wage increase was high??
« on: September 14, 2022, 04:13:01 AM »
Just saw where railroad workers are negotiating there contract and out of fear of shutting down and hurting his popularity even more biden is pushing the railroads to give there people a 14 percent raise imediately and back pay them to 2020. Give them a 5k bonus, one more day off and another 24 percent over the next 5 years. The article said they already average a 120k a year and are in the top 10 percentile of wages for blue collar workers in this country already. Comical thing is this was all but approved by the rail roads and they still wont settle because they want more!! Railroads are already afraid after they pay bonuses and back pay that MANY of there workers will walk away and retire and leave them stranded.

Seems like working conditions are the biggest issue. Lots of grievance articles on the net.

our resident libtard should keep in mind that this will just add to inflation because that money isnt coming out of the ceos pay check its going to be passed on to us that use products shipped by rail. Watch every other union come a begging now that senile joe has about given them the red carpet under his administration. Started with the nurses and railroads. Now watch the steel workers, teachers, truckers and skill trade unions trying to get in on the action. I guess you will applaud it till your flat broke just buying your food and have to fight for it because of shortages. I dont know if even then you can swallow your pride and admit your backing a socialist take over of this country. Boggles my mind that you libs are so blind and full of hate that you cant see through what your party is doing.

In my life I have never seen a time that jobs were so available and really good paying jobs are going unfilled.  While this is going on, we've got thousands of homeless bums turning once nice cities into dumps.  Every day the radio stations are rife with adds for skilled (electricians, millwrights, pipe fitters, etc.) workers.  Journeyman pay ranges from the high thirties to mid fourties per hour.  Even truck drivers are offered six figures per year.  Most business places have "Now Hiring" signs up in their windows, or sign boards.

Twenty years ago when I retired, I was offered six figures to move to another employer.  I would have to move and travel all over the world.  Not my deal.  I haven't set foot on an airplane after I got out of the Air Force and I never will.

World in chaos, nothing makes sense. leaders who are mentally deficient, families that are no longer families,
stupid to the point where many can't even tell male from female, half the world utterly consumed with hatred,
people not respecting parents, God or  institutions.  Most having no grasp of the best lessons from history, and
not even caring to learn them.

A sign of the times..  and seemingly, the end times..

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, without self-control, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."  (2Tim 3:1-7)

Example; California's crime wave..    Madness, such as has never been in America

Welcome to America where capitalism reigns and getting paid as much as you can or at least what the job is worth is considered normal.  The conductors and engineers make about 71K a year, the 122K is their total benefit package. Don’t know what is included. What’s it worth to be responsible for a miles long train loaded with millions in materials as well as humans? What’s it worth to be responsible for part of the transportation backbone of the country? I don’t know. Is a raise and better conditions warranted in a business that is making record profits? I don’t know.
As I stated they are concerned about working conditions. Should they be allowed to see a doctor or attend a funeral without being denied permission? Should the team of an engineer and a conductor be allowed to be cut down to just one? There’s more.
My guess is that there will be an 11th hour settlement.
Looks like the resident secret socialist wants to control everyone’s salary.

like i said they make on the high side of blue collar wages already. A 14 percent raise is way about cost of living even with your screwed up liberal goverment insanity. Add another 24 percent to that and insane. Sure dont want to hear you bitch about the price of grocerys or anything else. If every trucker and train operator and airline worker got that kind of a raise there would be 10s of thousands that couldnt afford to even eat. Im all for gettting paid for what you do but this is just another one of bidens kissing the unions asses so they will vote for him. Bottom line is is just another tax on the working class that is hidden in his agenda. WHEN WILL IT STOP!!! By the way ive never heard you say what you do for a living. Me? as everyone here knows i did work as a union lineman. Made a fair wage too. But sure never had even 8 percent raises in a single year and NEVER got a bonus of any kind. If biden would have kissed our asses like he is the nurses and rail road workers your electric bill would be double what it is today. Either you make big bucks and can afford it or you just dont have to pay for things because mommy does. I could even see an 8 percent raise to meet the cost of living increase these idiots you voted for handed us. Our union raises were more like 3 or 4 percent a year. Actually in the 30 years i worked there cost of living went up more then wages and we actually lost money. But i never bitched because there was sure many who didnt have as good of a job as me. That said i was out in the middle of the night in snow storms thunderstorms below zero temps climbing poles and keeping you from missing your tv show. I didnt have a nice warm train car to sit and relax in. I know a couple guys that work for the rail road. Yup they work long hours but usually get 3 or 4 day weeks too. None of them are in great physical shape or complain there job is physically demanding. You watch. Every union is watching. They are all going to try to get in on bidens union welfare/buy a vote plan. It will do nothing but increase inflation and cost of living to even new heights. Now grow a set and tell us honestly what you do for a living. Obviously its not to demanding because your on here all day every day. I smell welfare or a college dorm;) Two groups already bought and paid for by the democrats.

Would be interesting to know what percent of railroad transportation costs are made up of engineer and conductor salary costs before I go on an emotional democrat like rant.
