That article proves one old adage, namely that.. "Figures don't lie, but liars figure".....
Look at it this way.. The murders are almost all happening in the cities. Those cities are usually run by Democrats. Thus, even in red states, it is the rural areas that keep the state above water on the killing scale.
If a red state has an elevated per capita murder rate..it is almost always because of the killings that are happening in their blue, Democrat run cities.
Here in NY State, shootings are happening daily in the large cities, especially on weekends, when multiples is the usual type.
What those lefty writers were doing, was placing a shooting taking place in the cities, upon the entire state.
Some would say that is "disingenuous", but most would say they were just plain lying !
In the entire county where I live, I cannot recall the last shooting murder we had. We had a killing about 30
years ago, but it was a lovers thing, and not by gun.
On the other hand, a county north of me has shootings it seems, every weekend. Those shootings it seems,
are all confined to Buffalo, and not the rest of the county.
Of course, Buffalo is a deep blue, while the rest of the county is not so.
Here in the bright red counties, where the lion's share of legal guns are kept, murder by gun is a very rare event.
It is the blue cities that drag the rest of the state down...
