 My grandson, the bladesmith, along with a couple friends, maxxed out their Canada Goose bag limit on Saturday
   My grandson is the taller one.

  They were likely using some goose calls that his friend turns from exotic woods, furnished by my grandson.
  Some of those calls shown below

If those guys and their calls show up in my local waters, call in, and shoot that many geese, I'll attribute it 100% to the calls and the callers!  Otherwise, good calls and good callers - or not, there are a lot of geese there too (and NO geese here)!

  They were hunting at the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, at a place called the Alabama Swamps.  The refuge is a bit over 10,800 acres, mostly swamp.

   Actually, the star is on a small crossroads town called Alabama..the wildlife refuge is a bit more to the south.
    ... And I-90 cuts through part of it.
