Fried up  a couple of T-bone steaks in lard and butter, then fried up a batch of Mushrooms and onions in the pan when the steaks were done.
Got the steaks for 8.98 a pound and made sure I got two with a large tenderloin section.
Turned out real, real well indeed.

Bean schedule didn't work out right,
so it was a potted meat sandwich on
garlic toast with 7 store brand barbecue
pringle chips. ( nutritional facts label
says 14 "crisps" was a serving, but 7
"crisps" came out of the tube, so that's
what I had)
Beans will be ok for days, so I'll work
on em later
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

No real supper
I had a large helping of leftover
mess for a late midday meal, so
that carried me over.
Had a couple of peanut butter and
crackers a while ago, then a cup
of coffee and a cupcake just before 9
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

Yesterday, I made one of those pre-prepped packages of Gyros for us, they contain enough for 4 Gyros; not all brands of such a thing are equal, some are real good, some, you eat because you paid for it.

Supper today will be Fried Hamburgers and Fried Onions on bakery buns that are warmed in the left over hamburger grease.

No dinner today, as we have that on Sat., Sunday, and Monday.

Pan fried hamburgers, with a lettuce salad.
How you prepare the buns while cooking can make a big difference. 8)

We had frozen chilli out of the basement chest freezer; I had a tub of old chilli in  the refridgerator, since october.

Took the lid off and there was a mass of green, that got dumped in the garden snow bank.

Came in from blowing snow, and had another plate of that fine beef roast cooked for dinner, Tea and  Cinnamon Coffee Cake.

Made some mess out of leftover
stuff and a can of beans
Sliced cooked potatoes browned in
a skillet with a couple of leftover
spam slices diced up. Then added
a can of beans I had from a goody
gift box from thanksgiving or
Christmas one of the two.
Only bad thing was the particular
can of beans was covertly spicy,
and it was a bit hotter than I really
wanted.
I still ate what I made with about
6 saltine crackers and a glass of
sebbun up
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

I found out, by accident, that regular  baked beans with a can of spicy regular or sweet baked beans is actually quite tasty.
Tonight made some Chicken soup with fried chicken breasts, onions, carrots and celery then added some dumplings.

I generally prefer just plain hard dumpling but out of curiosity added just an eigth teaspoon of Baking Powder this time.
They puffed up quite a bit more than I expected but still were firm enough.
Good soup though.

Our son arrived a little after 6 Pm with a pot of blackeyed peas, a pan of cornbread, and a container of fresh pico de gallo. The pico was a first for me with this combo and it was pretty good. I really prefer just the peas and cornbread though. I love pico on certain things but decided I can take it or leave with the peas and cornbread. With pinto beans and cornbread on the other hand---um,um, good.

Heading to a redone former Bikers, now Sports bar for an all you can eat fish supper; although they have a 4 fish Sunfish basket and I may opt for that.

HAPPY ST.PATRICK'S DAY ;D

Just got back from our St.Paddy's day supper; the Sunfish basket had a choice of 3 or 5 fish, I had 5.
It was 13 bucks for 3 but 16 for 5, a bit more than should be for only two more fish, but they were very good.
They had Corned Beef and Cabbage for 13.50, now in the old days, I might have tried both and taken one home in a doggy bag. ;D

Had green beer, Budweiser, for 4 bucks; now they asked for a tall or a short, I had a short.
When I was young a short was a basic eight to ten ounce glass, the shorty here was what used to be a tall beer.
Times have changed but for 4 bucks no complaints.

We did a little Electronic pull tabs at another sports bar; maybe it was because it was St. Paddy's day and on a Friday but both places were very, very busy.

'bout this time last year I'd bought
a big package of frozen cauliflower
thinking about how good it would be.
Thawing it made it look like a failed
laboratory experiment, and cooking
it made it much worse. I should have
trusted my senses and tossed it before
wasting the time and gas cooking it.
Now, a fresh head of cauliflower, washed
good and cut up. I can sit and nearly
eat the whole thing  raw like a piece of cake.

Never tried to grow any here now that
I think on it

Found me a candy bar today
nearly like a xxl payday. I tried
one bite and saved the rest for
a dessert, and had that after
my portion of tuna mess.
Had some vegan organic yuppie
coffee creamer gifted to me that
I had in a end-of-day cup of coffee.
Wasn't bad at all, but I wouldn't
have bought it if I wasn't getting
it free. I usually have my coffee
black

Free is good.
Up here, there is a new  coffee/roasting shop, if you sign up on there E mail, for special offers, every Friday you will get a reminder that on Friday they give anyone who comes in a free cup of coffee.

So, even though it is 2 miles away, if I think of it, actually due to getting an E mail, I will drive over for a free cup of very good coffee.

Last night it was corn and potato chowder prepared by our son. It includes ham and something to make it a little spicy. We like it.

He got hjs cooking gene from his mother, not me.

Tater Tot Cheesy Potatoes with some left over Pork Roast.

Major grocery store was totally out of shredded potatoes; nowaday it is amazing how you go to a major grocery store and certain items are down to nothing or near nothing.
I think I prefer Tater Tot cheesy potatoes over the shredded potato variety. :D
