I was ready to drop this discussion, since there is no point in discussing things which just drift over and past the heads of the audience.
Although many today in their mortality, don't like to consider such things, in all God's creation not everything is physically tangible.
There are many things we cannot directly experience that can help or harm, us things such as cosmic radiation etc.
Then there is the entire spiritual "world". Those who study closely..should I say "religiously" in the field, tend to agree that there is much more unseen than seen.
I find it useless to explain these principles to those who reject Christianity..which is what I meant by some of us parking our kayaks in different boat houses.
So, speaking to Christians... You cannot see, feel, touch or weigh the soul, but does that mean there is no such thing?
How about the spirit..Holy or otherwise, do you think it is real?
Now, how about "consciousness"? That is one which trips up many an atheist debater.. Humans have flesh, blood and bone, all the
physical parts, but where does the conscience come from?
Animals have an awareness, but a full consciousness is on a higher plane. Animals have no concept oif future, little of a history,
and have little compunctions about using each other for lunch.
Cannot contact the dead? Saul sought out the witch at Endor and she conjured up the prophet Samuel, who announced Saul's
impending death see (1 Samuel 28:7-19)
..And I don't feel insulted in the least for "believing in the supernatural", since I hav esome very distinguished company.. Jesus , the apostles, every Christian theologian that ever lived...and God Himself !
I hav eoffered the advice of several experts in the field, and what did I get in return..many "no ways, I don't, no way and many a
can't be", but NO authoritative rebuttals..
