From Billy;
" But they're did, if you were smart enough to comprehend what I'm saying you wouldn't still have to work in your 80s to get by."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know what you are referring to, Billy and will address it...but first let us clear up about Dee going back to work. There are many reasons why folks go back to work after retirement. Yes, some need the money, some just want to remain active, and some just want to "get back in the saddle", literally. I don't think Dee has, or needs to explain his reasons, and we cannot simply "assume'..
I know what you mean concerning someone being wiped out, say in 1775..he/she could have no physical descendants from that time on. This very fact of history seems to rule out some folks dream of "time travel"..
We know that each progenitor's descendants can measure many thousands today. National Geographic estimates that Genghis Khan
has 16 million descendants living today.
https://www.nationalgeographic.com/culture/article/mongolia-genghis-khan-dna#:~:text=That%20translates%20to%200.5%20percent,16%20million%20descendants%20living%20today.
Now, few people were that prolific, but if we study such, we will find that manyhave hundreds of thousands to their credit.
So, picture this scenario.. John Jones time travels back to Medieval England. His dress may be some kind of "space suit" or other.
This stranger is met with hostility and has to defend himself, whereupon he kills a peasant named Jones.
POOF!! He has not only killed himself, but 40,000 other Descendants of peasant Jones cease to exist, even those living today...
If time travel were true, ever so often whole groups of people would suddenly disappear.
Now, this hasn't happened yet.. but stay tuned, some day all born again Christians will suddenly disappear.
