Barilla Pasta being sued..
« on: October 21, 2022, 01:56:46 AM »
Barilla Pasta is being sued.  They arec being sued because they have a slogan on their box which says, "Italy's no 1 brand of pasta".

Sure, they played fast and loose with facts, because Barilla Pasta is made in Iowa.

Not enough, they make great pasta, now their boxes come under fire.  IMO..Barilla makes fine pasta, and it is the brand I look
   for when I buy pasta.

The plaintiff has a high hurdle to clear before they collect millions, thye must prove damage..

Food for thought..  How many coffee shops in your town, have "the best coffee in town"?  How may dog foods are "recommended
by more veterinarians than any other brand"...and how many brands of toothpaste give you "the whitest teeth"?

IMO..not a case of honesty in advertising, so much as  we are GORILLA GREEDY !!

If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

I've drove past the plant many times.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

DeCecco pasta is one of the best. I no longer buy it as the price is a bit high. I now buy whatever is cheapest and cook it accordingly. I am buying 2#’s for 1.80 and have at least 50 plus #’s in the larder at all times.

Been doing this for a while myself.
I only buy elbow macaroni and it does
just fine for all my pasta uses.
I was given a package of whole wheat
spaghetti noodles the other day, and
used the last of it this afternoon. I can't
tell any fantastic flavor advantage over
the the cheap stuff.
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .
