Shooting Range Game Camera
« on: October 27, 2022, 02:37:20 AM »
OK guys, I have several game cameras out at various places around my house. I hope to develop some interest from the membership in photos we've all taken. Doesn't have to be game camera photos and you don't have to limit your input to these initial threads I start of my various game camera locations.

But what I will do is start a different thread for each of my camera locations. I will initially post some photos from each and then if you like them please post and let me know. If the photos generate some interest I'll continue to post photos taken by them from time to time.

Feel free to post your likes or dislikes of them and by all means feel free to start threads of your own for you photos on this forum.

I have a camera set up on my shooting range at around the 50 yard line or so looking back down toward my house and the shooting bench. It also looks down passed my barn which is on the right side of photos. There is an old junk car of Matt's setting out in front of the barn you'll see in some of the images on this camera.

So without further ado here are some images from the camera.

I'll have to play around with this to see how many attachments it will let me post. In the above the first shot is just to give  you an idea of the full coverage of the camera.

You can see the old car of Matt's to the right in the image, that is where my barn is located.

Those two smaller pine trees to the left up close to camera where the crow is sitting is a very active area. I have images of about every type of critter around here in that tiny area which I'll be posting in the future.

Cool, do you have hogs on your property?
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

OK if all images show up:

First is a deer I call "patch" due to the dark patch that shows up on the chest in this image.

Second is a deer I call blaze due to the blaze shaped dark spot showing up on her in this image, she also has an injury to a leg that shows well in photos from her other side.

Third shows my coons and deer get along well together and share the corn I put out at this location.

Fourth shows a couple of coons with one up in that small area near the two pine trees that all critters seem to like to hang out near.

Nope no hogs and no bear either.

Of course this is Alabama so a feral hog could happen a long anytime but it has never happened to my knowledge so far. Bear make mostly night time visits once ever few years thru the general area tho not necessarily on my land. Next door neighbors saw one at there pond but that was a lot of years ago.

VERMIN

Have those damned things in my home town, and they destroy gardens.
Last week there were a half dozen of  them standing in the alley 50 feet from my house and they ARE NOT afraid of people.

Cool, do you have hogs on your property?

Nope no hogs and no bear either. . . . .

Be sure to give special thanks
for that bit of fortune that was
bestowed upon you and yours
The blankety blanking hogs are
bad enough, now the bears are
moving back in the east from
Louisiana and Arkansas and
up from mexico and New mexico.
As posted, they can tear stuff up
and destroy things that the hogs
can't reach or don't mess with,
so now all the animal "vandalism "
bases are covered.
I've read old accounts of the early
settlement days where the pioneers
would have to rebuild parts of their
cabins or chicken coops, etc. after a
night of fun and games with big cats
and/or bears and/or wolves .
Not to mention the loss of valuable
livestock that made a huge dent in
the family's ability to feed themselves.

They didn't have all those expensive
bounties back then for no reason
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

I wish the turkeys would come over and visit with me but they rarely do. Long ago one of our neighbors had a tame turkey gobbler and a couple of hens. One spring he was gobbling his head off and 3 wild turkey hens came over for a visit. They met up in our blueberry orchard and led him off with them when they left.

I'm sure there are no doubt turkeys in the huge pasture that is way back behind me and I see them or used to see them before things grew up too high to see over to the neighbor's place across the highway. I'm sure they still feed them so they still come in over there but all of my trees are too tall to see over there these days.

I don't garden anymore so they couldn't mess with that here.

Currently I'm down to one camera , the latch on one popped  open in a rain storm an shorted it out and while changing the batts I dropped the other on concrete floor and shattered the lens .  My BIL has several cameras out on his place maybe I 'll post some of his in the future .

I currently have five cameras out as I added the 5th today. I have some more to put out but haven't firmly decided where to put them.
