Time is an artificial construct, it doesn't exist in the natural world.
Do you think deer, squirrels ducks or such have clocks? Do you think they count the minutes or hours or know what time a clock says it is or cares if it is daylight savings time or not?
So why be a slave to time?
The day I retired, September 28, 1995 by the way, I took my watch off and hung it on the turn signal stalk on my Bronco. I never took it back off until I sold that truck to Matt. At that point I put it away somewhere, where I dunno. I've not looked at it since.
I do nothing by the clock so really don't care what time the clock says it is. I don't get up by the clock, I don't go to bed by the clock. I operate on a natural rhythm and just do what feels right at the moment.
If I'm sleepy I go to bed, if I'm no longer sleepy I get up. If i'm hungry I eat. About my only concession to time is when I have a doctor's appointment, they kinda insist I follow their time schedule even tho they rarely follow it themselves.
Otherwise I do nothing by the clock.
So I could care less if it's daylight savings time or not. I'll lose nor gain no sleep and have no adjustment to make when it changes from one to the other.
So how can some artificial construct that exists only in your mind mess up your routine if you are retired and don't have a clock to punch at work?
