Well, Musk does not like Biden or the Democrats right now.  He said before we can go all electric on cars and all wind and solar energy, we have to have oil.  He said we will need oil for several years.  We need to drill and produce.  Musk wants a combination of wind, solar, nuclear, and large battery storage for the grid.  When there  is too much wind or solar is not being used, this excess electricity should be stored in giant batteries for use during peek times, with nuclear as back up. 

He also realizes that electric cars have to extend range, shorten charging times, and cost less to mass produce.  He realizes it ain't happening overnight. 

He has also warned congress of AI getting out of hand and that we need laws governing what the limits of AI are.  They have ignored him, especially the elitist liberal politicians.  He also believes in capitalism, the reason he came to America to fulfill his dreams.  He is totally against socialism. 

On the other side of the coin, he is socially liberal.  Thus having kids out of wedlock.  He does say Americans aren't having enough kids to be working to pay taxes to take care of the elderly and poor.  So he is contributing.  He has 8 kids from 3 different women, yet doesn't have time to spend with them as he is almost always working on something.  Right now he is sleeping on a cot at Twitter trying to get it straightened out.

I don't think Elon Musk is the answer to our freedom of speech woes, or our economic issues.  He's a business man that is interested in turning a dollar.
Musk has Aspergers Syndrome and doesn't see things the way most folks do, so to try and predict his future path with Twitter, or any other business, would be difficult at best.

I have a grandson with Aspergers and he has issues with the truth. He seems incapable of lying. Even if he knows he'll get in trouble, he'll still tell you the truth seemingly without fear of the consequences.

If you pay attention to what he says, he only mentions that WeChat has many avenues for revenue and is not just a social platform.  I've seen other platforms starting their own pay system to counter Paypal and others, which is tied into their social platform, I think Truth and/or Gab is trying this, and others have a "store front" to sell merchandise, I think that is what he is referring to, not the whole social credit system China has.  I too am in a wait and see pattern, I do not have, and really do not want, a Twitter account, unless they do like some others where you can't follow a link to them without an account, but then I probably won't and if I do it will be a dead account as I do not post like that.

What some of you guys don't realize is it will take time to redo all the software code for taking people off twitter, or any of the stuff they once did.  Musk has brought over 50 of his best programmers from Tesla to try to fix things.  They are spending long hours and Musk is sleeping at the Twitter headquarters on a cot to help get all this mess cleaned up.  It took him about 2 years to perfect the code to land his rockets.  He crashed a bunch of them trying to land.  Now he has over 150 straight landings after launching.  He has reused several of his boosters over 10 times.  Back in 2014-15, Boeing, Lockheed, and even NASA said it was too hard. 

Don't underestimate Musk.  He gets things done.  Give Twitter time to reprogram and reset everything.  Making people pay is the way to find out who is human and who is using other computers to make tweets.  Trump charges to be on Truthsocial, his talking website.  Over 1 million left leaning people say they have left Twitter.  So there is that.
