might take flack for this one
« on: November 09, 2022, 12:24:57 AM »
Ok we will probably control the house and maybe the senate so it wasnt a total disaster but dammed close to it. It was way to close for comfort. What it basically will do is cause even a bigger split because it will embolden the left that even with all there F ups they still got a crap pile of votes. Real sad here in michigan we got whitmer back. The voting rights bs bill passed as did the abortion protection bill. Now heres where i will probably get jumped for my opinion. I wonder if this isnt a good part trumps fault. All the independents and even some democrats that are sick of this administration  still hate trump with a passion and im sure voted in democrats to fight against him if he becomes president again. I would about bet my house if he would have came out a couple weeks before this election and said he has no intention of running that alot of the democrats and independents just might have voted differently. Its done now and nothing can be done but the civil war in this country is going to become a reality. Matter of fact this election was officially the first shots.

I believe that 99.9999999 of the Media hated/Hates Trump,
30% of the living voters do also.
I feel the Dem's skimmed just enough votes this time, to keep them a float and not cause Alarm.

^^^DITTO^^^  We are in deep trouble, and this election points up to an even more suspicious vote count..

As Lloyd said..  "with all there F ups they still got a crap pile of votes."

They sure did mess up and I see no reason why voters would go that way.  I especially note Pennsylvania, where some rural,
red counties, seemingly went for Futterman.

I simply do not believe these rural voters want hard criminals turned out on the street, heroin injection centers set up in their
communities or all the other "woke" stupidity.

The Republicans deserve some of the credit for the screwed up elections, since they did not fight the computer voting craze..with
    all it's opportunities for hacking.

you and me both. I was up at 3am to see the results. Figured id be celebrating and all this has done is depress me and take any hope at all that theres still sanity in this country. Only thing that keeps me from puking is the fact pelosi will lose control of the house. What scares me too is what will happen in 24. That many democrats that are so radical they couldnt see the the shitstorm biden created. Will biden start kissing up enough to the republicans in power that the independents that we all know are mostly democrats will side with the next democratic candidate. Sadly i hope the republicans dont waste time trying to impeach biden or spend all there time going after hunter for revenge. That will just turn off more of them. Concentrate on the economy, energy, immigration and our military and blow off all that controversial crap till after 24. Whats really a thorn in my side is there about going to have to leave the abortion issue alone till then too. We may have to take a couple bullets to insure we win the war.

I'm with Lloyd that Trump scared voters, even some conservative voters. Maybe they are the ones who stayed home. Won't surprise me if that's what the analysis conclude.

yup gene he should be on tv today swallowing his giant pride and apologizing to DeSantis and announcing he is not seeking reelection and backing out of politics completely. He needs to think about the country he claims to love not his own personal pride.  but is that possible? i doubt it.

I guess I don't buy it. So what are people's thoughts? I don't like Trump so I'm going to vote for Marxists that have been dismantling America.  Yeah that makes sense.

And it is his egotistical pride that motivates his mouth. He needs to back out, and back DeSantis.

Don't have to vote D, just have to not vote R. When I grew up in Nebraska as a kid, if my dad didn't like the major party candidates, he voted Cowboy Party. There are still other parties besides the D & R's.

I know some conservatives that would not vote for Romney over Obama because he was Mormon.  Then I've heard of those who would not vote OZ because he was Muslim.  Both weren't perfect, but better than the alternatives.  This happens in a lot of elections.  A few years ago, Alabama got a Democrat for senator, because of a so called flawed Republican on the ballot.  This was to finish out the last 2 years of senator Sessions term when he went to the Trump Whitehouse.  At least it was only for two years.

Also, this year, McConnell wouldn't release GOP funds to help MAGA candidates because he knew if they took over the senate, he would be replaced as leader of the senate.  He wouldn't help Walker or OZ financially with GOP funds.  Same with Palin in Alaska.

yup some of the radicals even in our own party waste there votes justifying it by saying they dont like the republican candidtate but in fact a vote for any other candidate might as well be a vote for the democrats.

Sara Palin quit her governor position half way through her term, and went fishin. Then she joined up with loser John McCain, and lost again.

Alaska doesn't want her, and it would have been money wasted.

LOL! If the red wave had happen as predicted, everyone would be praising Trump. The reason socialists are taking over here and all over the world is much bigger than any one man like Trump. Those of us in this Blue state I live in, expected nothing to change here. And it didn't. Measure 114 passed here in Oregon, making it the biggest gun control law ever passed. Measure 114 will require everyone to pass a gun safety training course and go through a background check in order to receive a permit allowing them to purchase a firearm. The measure would also ban the future sale and possession of magazines of over ten rounds. That makes most of us gun owners in Oregon criminals, if we don't adhere to this anti second amendment law. After having a socialist, swinger Governor for two terms that has helped kill the economy in Oregon, we have elected a full fledged Lesbian to continue to govern, and take away the few freedoms we still have here.

I don't blame Trump for the red wave loss across America. I blame ignorant Democrat voters, and Republicans in DC for not doing what Republicans were elected to do for the people. I will vote for Donald Trump if he runs in 2024.

Worst inflation ever. Worst collapse in real wages ever. Worst crime wave ever. Worst border crises ever. I don't like Trump's ego, his mean tweets, and the republicans he endorsed. So I'm going to go vote for the collapse of America, and suppression of my freedoms.

ill say this though. If trump wouldnt have been hunted like a dog for the 4 years he served and the house and senate wouldnt have totally wasted 4 years doing it he would have had to be so defensive. I dont take crap from anyone either. If i was treated like he was i doubt i could have kept my composure even as well as he did. I will never forget the good things he did and the many good things he could have done without all this political bull crap. I said he needs to back off and i do believe it. But that said if he was elected with the house and senate on his side hed probably be a powerhouse. Yup he may be a bit to aggressive but id take an aggressive president over some lame duck like biden or carter or or even bush jr. or a criminal like clinton.

ADZACKLY, when he's on TV going on, and on, and on, and on, and on, ABOUT HIMSELF. I change the channel. His freedom rallies are reruns of each other, and will eventually burn out.

Not everyone that votes republican is as tolerant of such narcissistic behavior. They have limits.

"Trump did good things for America". I agree but wish he would have kept his mouth shut and stayed off twitter. Instead he egged on all the haters and that included most of the republicans in congress. They were the reason he couldn't get anything done when republicans controlled both houses. If he runs again I will also vote for him. I'm damned sure not voting for any democrat for anything. As to voting for candidates other than republican or democrat you might as well just vote for the democrat or stay home. Yes, you showed those worthless two parties and no one noticed but you. I have grown used to voting for the lesser of two evils as I have been doing so all my voting life but that is always the case in politics. Politicians have an agenda and it's not for the good of the citizens. It's about power and money to put in their pockets, Some are just a little less hungry for it than others.

I need to find some new decals for my rear windows as the governor's race went exactly as I knew it would. These need to say" Our governor is STILL an IDIOT". In fact all the state races went exactly as I knew they would with democrats winning plus, after the gerrymander, I have a new congressperson, a woman that did not mention this part of her district once in a campaign ad. She knew she didn't need our vote to win.

The US is hell bent on becoming a socialist/communist country and those that oppose it are well outnumbered. I doubt it will turn into a civil war. By the time it comes to a head the right thinkers are going to so far outnumbered it couldn't even get started. All we crusty old guys will be gone, not that we would be much help if it were to happen now.

I just checked out NM election results and our little troll in charge was literally stomped on in the southeastern quarter of the state and lost in the rest of the state except the Rio Grande Corridor which contains most of the population and always goes democrat. Las Cruces is the southern most city along the river, only 46 miles north of El Paso, and used to be conservative. It has seen a huge population growth and become the second largest city in the state. Evidently all the new residents are democrats.

Yes, Trump is an abrasive fellow, but 8most CEOs are.. it is part of their "alpha dog" personality.

I have heard some "sensitive" folk say they like the job he did, but can't vote for him because he talks so tough!

Somehow they couldn't seem capable of being "compartmental" in their thinking. They couldn't just evaluate the man
on the job he did ..but must become emotionally involved, and let that lead them.

My Dad once had a work horse named Tom.  Tom had a nasty habit chewing on his manger in his stall, so about twice a year, he
had to replace the top board on the manger.  He would also chew on some of his stall boards.

Now, that was somewhat of a PIA..

..But Dad didn't trade Tom horse off for several years... 6 6Wh?  ..Because Tom could out pull, out work and out produce any other
    horse he had !

Pres Trump out worked and out produced and president we had for decades.. or certainly since..so I don't care if he talked tough!

Did these "sensitive"  folks ever stop to  think why we had no casualties in Afghanistan for the last 18 months of Pres Trump's term..or why Putin moved against the Crimea while Obama was on watch.. 0r why he waited until hapless Joe was in office, before he moved on the Ukraine ?

Is it because Trump "talked tough"...and carried a big stick ? The biggest- public relations problem Trump has  with the 'sensitive', emotional types, is that they just don't "get it" !

If we had more voters with keen analytical powers, we could easily elect Trump again, and get back on the road to real progress.
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)
