I've never found a way to cook trout I liked. Cardboard.
Almost 40 years ago, I fried up some trout, store bought and found as they are related, trout taste like salmno, salmon taste like trout, I like neither. I would not mind catching one though.
13 years ago, a gent was fishing the Mississippi 40 miles South of here, he caught a 16 inch Brown Trout.
Took pictures and put it back; they, fishery people, figured as there is a small creek that once was stocked with trout, this was close to the mouth of that creek, 17 years earlier, a few had survived and produced young ones.
